AN OR-DITTANCE providing for and authorizing the issuance of Improvement
Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $3915.44 to pay
the cost of constructing certain lateral sanitary sewers in the City
of Salina, Kansas, which bonds shall be designated as Series 5-122.

WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law certain
lateral sanitary sewers have been constructed in the City of Salina,
Kansas, in certain lateral sanitary sewer districts as follows:
Numbers 17, 158, 175, 176, 177 and 178, all as authorized
by Ordinance No. 4836, and
WHEREAS, the total cost of said lateral sanitary sewers constructed
in the server districts above mentioned and to be paid by special
j assessments levied upon lots and pieces of ground liable for the
payment of said lateral sanitary sewers in the lateral sanitary
sewer districts above mentioned has been ascertained and is here-
by found and determined to be the sum of $4418.28 which amount has
been heretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots
and pieces of g rcund liable therefor according to law and as pro-
vided for in the ordinances of the City of Salina relating thereto,
of which amount the sum of 0502.84 has been paid by the owners of
property liable therefor, leaving a balance for which funds will be
issued in the sum of $3915.44, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles are hereby adopted and

made a part of this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing
funds to pay the cost of the improvements hereinbefore described,
there shall be issued and there hereby are issued Internal Improve-
ment Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas in the total principal sum

of $3915.44 which issue shall consist of 10 bonds numbered from one
to 10 inclusive, all dated Larch 1, 1939, which shall bear interest
at the rate oflz percent per annum from and After said date until

the respective maturities of said bonds, payable semi-annually to be
evidenced by interest coupons as herein provided for and said bonds
shall become due serially in denominations as follows:
No. 1 for $315.44 due March lst, 1940
No..2 for $400 due March lst, 1941
No. 3 for 1p400 due March 1st, 1942
No. 4 for $400 due March 1st, 1943
No. 5 for $400 due March lst, 1944
No. 6 for $400 due March lst, 1945
No. 7 for $400 due r,jarch 1st, 1946

No. 9 for $400 due March lst, 1948
No. 10 for $400 due March lst, 1949
Section 2. Said bonds shall be signed by the Playor and shall be
attested by the signature of the City Clerk and the corporate seal
of the city shall be affixed thereto, and shall have attached thereto
interest coupons representing the interest thereon, which coupons shall
be in the form provided by law and shall bear the printed or lithographed

fac-simile signatures of the 11ayor and City Clerk of said city

and said bonds and interest coupons shall be re-istered in the

offices of the City Clerk and the State auditor as required by
law,
Section 3. Said bonds shall be designated as Series S-122 and
shall be in the form and shall contain recitals substantially as

the County of Saline, State of Kansas acknowledges itself to be in-
debted and for value received hereby promises to pay to the bearer
the sum of

payable semi-annually on the first days of and
in each year, on presentation and surrender of the interest coupons
hereto annexed as said coupons severally become due, both principal
and interest of this bond being payable at the oT'fice of the State
Treasurer of the State of Kansas, in the City of Topeka, Kansas.
And said City of Salina, Kansas, is held and firmly bound by these
presents and t'ie full faith, credit and resources of said city are
hereb irrevocably pledged for the payment of said principal and
interest at maturity.
Thii-n bond is one of a series of 10 bonds of like date and tenor,
excepting denori ,n,,:tion and na.turity, ag-,refuting the principal sum
of y?'3915.44 issued by the City of Salina, r,-ansas, for the purpose of
paying; the cost of constructing certain lateral sanitary sewers of
said cite by the authority of and in full coripliance with
the provisions, restrictions and limitations of the constitution
and laws of the State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101 to 10-115
and Sections 12-617 to 12-629 and Sections 13-1013 to 13-1018,
General Statutes of Kansas 19351, and such sections as amended, and
all other )rovisions of the laws of said state applicable thereto,
and this bond and all other bonds of this series, and all interest
thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions
and things required to be done and to exist precedent to and in the
issuance of this bond have been properly done and performed and do
exist in due and regular form and manner as required by the consti-
tution and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total indebted-
ness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not exceed
any constitutional or statutory limitation.

this bond by causing it to be signed by its Mayor and its corporate
seal to be hereto affixed, attested b, its City Clerk and the coupons
hereto attached to be signed with the fac-simile signatures of said
officers, and this bond to be dated the first day of 1939.

Section 4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorizod and
directed to prepare and execute the bonds hereinbefore described and
to advertise and sell the same in the manner provided by law, and,
when duly executed and registered to deliver said bonds to the purchaser
or purchasers thereof.
Section 5. The full faith, credit and resources of the City of
Salina, Kansas, shall be, and the same are hereby irrevocably pledged
for the prompt payment of said bonds and all interest thereon. The
Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, shall annually
make provisions of the �)a,lment of the principal and interest on said
bonds as the same become due by levying taxes and assessments upon the
pro)erty liable therefor as provided by law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the official city paper.

AN ORDINANCE providing for and authorizing the issuance of Improve-
ment Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $3915.44
to pay the cost of constructing certain lateral sanitary sewers
in the City of Salina, Kansas, which bonds shallbe designated
as Series S-122.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law certain
lateral sanitary sewers have been constructed in the City of Salina,
Kansas, in certain lateral sanitary sewer districts as follows:
numbers 17, 158, 175, 176, 177, and 178, all as authorized
by Ordinance,NO, 4836, and

in the sewer districts above mentioned and to be paid by special
assessments levied upon lots and pieces of ground liable for the
payment of said lateral sanitary sewers in the laterad sanitary
sewer districts above mentioned has been ascertained and is here-
by found and determined to be the sum of "$4418.28 which amount has
been heretofore duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots
and pieces of ground liable therefor according to law and as pro-
vided for in the ordinances of the City of Salina relating thereto,
of which amount the sum of $502.84 has been paid by the owners of
property liable therefor, leaving a balance for which funds will
be issued in the sum of $3915.44, NOVI �MEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Corrmissioners of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles are hereby adopted and
made a part of this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing
funds to pay the cost of the improvements hereinbefore described.,
there shall be issued and there hereby are issued Internal Improve-
ment Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas in the total principal
sum of $3915.44 which issue shall consist of 10 bonds numbered

Section 2. Said bonds shall be signed by the Mayor and shall
be attested by the signature of the City Clerk and the corporate
seal of the city shall be affixed thereto, and shall have attached
thereto interest coupons representing the interest thereon, which
coupons shall be in the form provided by law and shall bear the
printed or lithographed fac-simile signatures of the Mayor and
City Clerk of said city and said bonds and interest coupons shall
be registered in the offices of the City Clerk and the State Auditor
as required by law.
Section 3. Said bonds shallbe designated as Series S-122 and
shall be in the form and shall contain recitals substantially as

KNOW ALL TSN BY THESE PRESENTS, That the City of Salina, in
the County of Saline, State of Kansas acknowledges itself to be
indebted and for value received hereby promises to pay to the

purpose of paying the cost of constructing certain lateral sanitary
sewers of said city by the authority of and in full compliance with
the provisions, restrictions and limitations of the constitution
and laws of the State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101 to
10-115 and Sections 12-617 to 12-629 and Sections 13-1013 to 13-1018,
General Statutes of Kansas 1935, and such sections as amended, and
all other provisions of the laws of said state applicable thereto,
and this bond and all other bonds of this series, and all interest
thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions
and things required to be done and to exist precedent to and in the
issuance of this bond have been properly done and performed and do
exist in due and regular form and manner as required by the consti-
tution and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total indebted-
ness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not exceed
any constitutional or statutory limitation.
IN WI^1NESS WHEREOF, the said City of Salina, Kansas, has executed
this bond b, causing it to be signed by its Mayor and its corporate
seal to be hereto affixed, attested by its City Clerk and the coupons
hereto attached to be signed with the fac-simile signatures of said
officers, and this bond to be dated the first day of 1939.

Section 4.
The mayor and City Clerk are herehy authorized
and directed to prepare and execute the bonds hereinbefore described
and to advertise and sell the same in the manner provided by law,
and, when duly executed and registered to deliver said bonds to
the purchaser or purchasers thereof.
Section 5. The full faith, credit and resources of the City
of Salina, Kansas, shall be, and the same are hereby irrevocably
pledged for the prompt payment of said bonds and all interest
thereon. The Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas,
shall annually make provision of the payment of the principal and
interest on said bonds as the same become due by levying taxes
and assessments upon the property liable therefor as provided by
law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official city paper.
