Curbin: , guttering and gradin of Terrill Street from the south line of Crawford Street to the north line of Wilson Street as provided for by Resolution No. 746 and Ordinance PTO. 4911, and - iiIIE.Rt;A5, the total cost of said improverments has been ascertained and the total portion thereof to be paid by a general tax to be levied upon all taxable property within said city for the improvement of the squares and areas formed by the crossing of streets and alleys and for the im- provement of any of said streets where tree same is through or adjacent to property of the city and to be paid for by the city at large as pro- vided by law, for which the city liable and for which bonds will be issued as hereinafter provided for has been ascertained and is hereby determined to be the sum of X3577.56 and it is hereby found and determined that the repair and general improvement funds are insufficient to meet the cost and expense of such portion of any of said improvements as might other- wise be paid therefrom; and '.'VHEREAS, that portion of the cost of said improvements to be paid b -r special assessments levied upon the lots and nieces of ground liable for the payment of said improvements has been ascertained and is hereby found and determined to be the sum of y'13,756.57, which said last ariount has heretofore been duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots and pieces of mound liable therefor, payable in installments according to law and as provided in t'.e ordinances of said city relating thereto duly passed and a,)proved, of which amount the sum of % 2, 705.28 has been paid to the city by the owners of property liable therefor, leaving a balance of said sum for which bonds shall be issued in the sizi of N11,051.29; and l"il-' REAS, the total cost of said improvements for which bonds will be issued exclusive of the mounts heretofore paid in cash by the property owners has been and is now hereby determined to be the sum of y`14,628.85; Ij 0', THEIU1,' ORF. i BE IT ORDAI11EID by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas'. Section 1. And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions and things required to be done and to exist precedent to and in the issuance of this bond have been properly done and performed and do exist in due and regular form and manner as required by the consti- tution and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total indebted- ness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not exceed any constitutional or statutory limitation.
