ISE IT ORDAIYED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina., Kansas : Section 1. That from and after January lst, 1939 the salaries and wages of officers and nembers of theFire e F Department of the City of Salina shall be as follows: ! Fire Chief N 200.00 permonth Two Assistant Fire Chiefs, each - - - - - - 130.00 per month Fire Inspector - - - - - - -- -- - - - - - 130.00 per month Four Lieutenants each - - - - - - - - - - -- 125.00 per month Operator - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 122.50per month Regular Firemen maximu each - - - - - - - - 122.50 per rionth i Salaries of any special firemen shall be fixed by the City Manager ! ! not to exceed the salary of regular firemen. Salaries of firemen i for the first six months of their employment shall be x90.00 per month; for the second six months of their employment u100 per month; € thereafter for each addit' onal six months of continuous employment A such salary shall be increased W5.00 per month for each such additional j six rmnths of employ!nent until such salary shall reach the maximum then provided for by ordinance; provided however, that nothing herein rcontained shall have the effect of reducing the present salary of any fireman and provided further, that the salaries of all firemen now regular members of the Fire Departr:ient shall be computed according to the scheduleherein provided for based upon the length of service in the Fire Department. I Section 2. No person shall hereafter be employed as or become a member of the Fire Department of the City of Salina who is over the age of twenty-five years or unless such person is in fit and proper physical condition and shall have taken a physical examination by a physician selected for such purpose by the Cit;; 1.1anager and the re- ? sults of which shall be approved by the City P:ianager and the Chief of f the Fire Department. Section 3. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2906, Section 2 of Ordinance ITo. 2919, Section 7 of Ordinance No. 4169, Section 7 of i Ordinance Ito. 4595, Section 7 of Ordinance No. 4710 and Section 7 of Ordinance No. 4825, and all other ordinances or parts of ordinances which are specifically in conflict tivith any of the provisions of this ordinance be and the sane are hereby repealed. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That from and after January 1st, 1939 the salaries and wages of officers and members of the Fire Department of the City of Salina shall be as follows: Fire Chief - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ;„ 200.00 per motth Two Assistant Fire Chiefs, eaeh- - - - 130.00 per nonth Fire Inspector - - - - - - - - - - - - 130.00 per month Four Lieutenants each - - - - - - - -- 125.00 per month Operator - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 122.50 per month Regular Firemen, maximum, each - - - - 1122.50per month Salaries of any special firemen shall be fixed by the City Manager not to exceed the salary of regular firemen. Salaries of firemen for the first six months of their employment shall be 090.00 per month; for the second six months of their employment 0100 per month; thereafter for each additional six months of con- tinuous employment such salary shall bo increased X5.00 per month for each such additional six months of employment until such salary shall reach the maximum then provided for by ordinance; provided however, that nothing herein contained shall have the effect of reducing the present salary of any fireman and provided further, that the salaries of all firemen now regular members of the Fire Department shall be computed according to the schedule herein provided for based upon the length'of service in the Fire Department, Section 2 No person shall hereafter be employed as or become a member of the Fire Department of the City of Salina who is over the age of twenty-five years or unless such person is in fit and proper physical condition and shall have taken a physical examination 2= by a physician selected for such purpose by the City 1.1anager and the results of which shall be approved by the City Tanager and the Chief of the Fire Department.
