I AN OM)I1:A110E amending Section 1 of Ordinance Ito. 2821 as arlended by
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4496 being an ordinance relating to
and regulating and fixing a license tax on pool and billiard
tables, and repealin,7 said ori_ -final sections.
BE, IT OKDAIYED by the Board of Co.-,uiissioners of the City of Sal'na,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance Ito. 2821 as amended by
Section 1 of Ordinance No. 4496 be and the same is hereby ariended
to read as follows:
"Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to
have, keep or maintain, for hire or profit in any place in the City
i of SalL.na, billiard or pool tables, without first securing a license

therefor as in this ordinance provided, and paying a license tax on
all such tables in the fol lowing amounts: For each table X7.50

or fractional part t'-iereof. Such license when issued shall be for

a period of six months, and shall eJ p'.re on the last day of June or
December next after the same is issued, and shall be non -assignable
and non -transferable, and shall be issued only to individuals and
not to corporations; provided that the license tax herein made pay-
able shall be based upon each and every billiard and/or pool table
kept or maintained in place of business for which such licenses is
paid unless such table is actually dismantled and rendered unfit
for use as a billiard or pool table."
Section 2. That original Section 1 of Ordinance Ito. 4496 and
original Section 1 of Ordinance 3821 as amended by Section 1 of
Ordinance 4496 be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shalltake effect and be in force
from and after its publication in the official paper.

Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 1 of Ordinance No. 2821 as amended
by Section 1 of Ordinance Yo. 4496 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
