AN ORDINANCE levying special assessment against certain property to pay the cost of
constructing certain water service pipes in certain streets in the City of
Salina, Kansas,
11HEREAS, the Board of Commissioners have heretofore o-rdered the oimers of the property
in the
hereinafter described to lay water service pipes from the water mains streets
abutting thereon at the back of the curb line in said streets, prior to the paving
thereof, and
VEIEREAS, notice was duly given by Oublication in the official city paper of said
order and the owners of the property hereinafter described did not within 30 days
after the last publication of said notice lay said .,inter service pipe and tho city
laid or caused same to be laid, pursuant to section 12-832 to 12-833 of the Revised
Statutes of Kansas, 1935, and the cost thereof has been ascertained, and remains
unpaid by the property owners liable therefor; NOVV THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Cormaissioners of the City of SalJna, Kansas*
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against each
of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described, a special tax or assessment
for the purpose of paying that part of the cost of constructing and laying said
.,rater service pipes taxable against such lots and parts of lots, in tree various

Section 2. That the City Clerk is hereby directed and authorized to i}*mediately
certify the assessments made in Section One (1) of this ordinance to: the County
Clerk of Saline County, Kansas to be placed upon the tax roll for collection, subject
to the sane penalties and collected in like manner as other taxes.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after
its publication once in the o'ff'icial city paper.
