Section No. 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
proposal of H. J. Taylor, d/b/a The h. J. Taylor Constr,.{ction Company, hereinafter
refered to as "The Contractor", as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on
the 4th day of March, 1940, which is hereby found and determined to be the lowest
and best bid for such work and the contract awarded by the Board of Corwiissioners
of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its Mayor on
the 4th day of :March, 1946, for the construction of saici public improvements in
the City of Salina, to -wit:
A Lateral 6a.nitary Sevier ir. a certain Benefit Di,trict 7r207, being all
of Lot Tv+ent;;--five (25), Surveyorts Plat "G" and Lots One (1) to seven
(7) inclusive, in Block one (1) in Oakdale Addition; and a part of Lot
One (1) in Surveyor's Plat Twelve (12), all in the City of Salina,
Saline county, Kansas:
at and for the unit �--rice for said work containea in said proposal which proposal
and construction are hereby referred to and made a part of this Ordinanec., be
and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal within estimated
cost of said improvements as shovm by sworn estimates of City En,�•ineer on file
in the Office of City Clerk, which esuim«tes are hereby referred to and made
a part of this Ordinance.
Section No. 2. That said improvements shall be built and constructed
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, prepared by the City
Engin-er, on file in the Office of the City Clerk, and in accordance, all of
which are hereby referred to and made a part of this Ordinance.
Section No. 3. That temporary notes, signed by the Mayor and attested
by the City Clerk, be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the
manner and form required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed five (5)
percent per annum and to mature not later than August 1, 1946, to be issued in
such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work
may be rewired, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed
and cancelled at the time the permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section No. 4. This Ordinance is to take effect and be in force from
and after its publication in the City Paper.

AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for the construction of a certain lateral
sanitary sewer in Lateral Sanitary Seger District No. 207 in the
City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes
to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds*
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal
of H. J. Taylor, d/b/a The H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter
referred to as "The Contractor, as submitted to the Board of Cormdssioners
on the 4th day of March, 1946, which is hereby found and determined to be
the lowest and best bid for such work and the contract awarded by the Board
of Commissioners -of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of
the City by its Mayor on the 4th day of March, 1946, for the construction
of said public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit:
A Lateral Sanitary Sewer in a certain benefit district f207,
being all of Lot Twenty-five (25), Surveyor's Plat "G" and
Lots One (1) to Seven (7) inclusive, in Block One (1) in Oak-
dale Addition; and a part of Lot One (1) in Surveyorts Plat
Twelve (12), all in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas:
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal which
proposal and construction are hereby referred to and made a part of this
Ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal
within estimated cost of said improvements as shown by sworn estimates of
City Engineer on file in the office of City Clerk, which estimates are here-
by referred to amd made a part of this ordinance.

City Engineer, on file in the office of the City Clerk, and in accordance
with the proposals of said contractor and under the terms of said contract,
all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes, signed by the Idayor and attested
by the City Clerk, be issued from tii-le to time as the work progresses in
the total amount thereof not to exceed
the manner and form required by law,
the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed
five (5) per cent per annum and to mature not later than August 1, 1946,
to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of
the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said con-
tractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time the permanent bonds are
issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4. This ordinance is to take effect and be in force from and
