A',':1 ORDI'_1'iidCE ratifyinC and confirming a contract for grading and pavin- of Tenth
Street from the north line of North Street to the north line of Grand Avenue
in the City of Salina, for a vridth of 33 feet with 6 inch reinforced concrete
and from the north line of Lincoln Avenue to the south line of Grand Avenue for
a width of 31 feet Zirith 6 inch reinforced concrete and for curbing, r -uttering
and grading of Tenth Street from north line of North Street to the north line
of Lincoln Avenue and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the
costs thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAIIED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Sedtion 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of H. J.
Taylor, d/b/a The H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as "the
contractor" was submitted to the Board of Conu�issioners on the 5th day of dovember, 1945,
for the construction of said public improvements in the City of Salina, to-�rit:
Grading and paving of Tenth Street from the north line of North Street to
the north line of Grand Avenue with 6 inch reinforced concrete paving frog.,
the north line of 1lorth Street to the south l.'.-ne of Lincoln Avenue to be a
width of 33 feet and from the north line of Lincoln A,,.enue to the south line
of Grand Avenue to be a vridth of 31 feet; and for curbing, ^uttering and grading
of Tenth Street from the north line of TTorth Street to the -orth line of Lincoln
Avenue,
as pro -Tided in Ordinance No. 5115, at and for the unit price of said work contained in
said proposal, which proposal and co'^_tract are hereby referred to and made a part of
this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said ~)ronosal being
within the estimated costs of said imDroverients as shotivn by the sworn esti::-,ates of the
City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, wrath estimates are hereby re-
ferred to and made a part of t h.is ordinance.
Section 2. The improvements shall be built and constructed according to the plans
and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the
City Clerk and in accordance m^rith the proposal of said contractor and under the terms
of said contract, all of wh ch are hereby referred to and glade parts of tills Ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary dotes sinned by the .2afor and attested by the City
Clerk, be issued from tL-e to time as the work prod-.resses in the -tanner and form as
reauired b-- law, the total armount thereof not to exceed the contfact price for such
work, such notes to bear interest :not to exceed one per cent per anr_um, and to r� ture
not later than June lst, 1946, and to be issued in such amounts and at s, --,ch tir: e as
i.ioaLey for the pawient of the cost of such work may be required, such motes to be
issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the tithe that per anent
bonds are issued in lieu ;hereof.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
_publication in the official city paper.

331 with 6" re-inforeed_cbncrete and from North Line of Lincoln,
Avenue to South Line of Grgnd Avenue for a width of 311 with 6"
re-inforced concrete and for curbing, guttering and grading of
10th Street from North Line of North Street to North Line of
Lincoln Avenue and providing for the issuance of temporary notes
to pay the costs thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas;
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the
proposal of J. Taylor, d/b/a The H. J. Taylor Construction Com-
pany., hereinafter referred to as "the contractor" was submitted
to the Board of Commissioners on the 5th day of November 1945:I
.for the construction of said public i rov'ements in the M7—of

Grading and paving of 10th Street from the North Line of
North Street to the North Line of Grand Avenue with 6"
re-inforced concrete paving from the North Line of North
Street to the South Line of Lincoln Avenue to be a width
of 331 and from the North Line of Lincoln Avenue to the
South Line of Grand avenue to be a width of 31t. and for
curbing, guttering and grading of 10th Street from North
Line of North Street to North Line of Lincoln Avenue,
as provided in Ordinance #5118, at and f or the unit .rice of said
work contained in said proposal, which proposal and.contract are
hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the
same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within
the estimated costs of said improvements as shown by the sworn
estimates of the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City
Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of
t''nis ordinance.
Section 2. The improvements shall be built and constructed
accordin to tie plans and specifications therefor prepared by
the City Engineer on file in the Office of the City Clerk and in
accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the to
of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made
parts of this Ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the mayor and at-
tested by the 7ity Clerk, be issued from time to time as the work
progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total
amount thereof not to exceed the contract trice for such work, suc]
notes to bear interest not to exceed one per cent per annu_Tn an
to mature not _later than June 1st, , 1'J46 and to be is-
sued in such amounts and a�jSuc'LL foi e as money for the payment of
the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to
said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that
permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
Section 4, This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
