5113 Confirm Spruce Street ImprovementsORDINANCE NO. 5113 (Published in the Salina Journal ��Q�� r �� 1945) AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract for the paving of Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue to the west line of Phillips Avenue in the City of Salina for a width of 271 with 6" reinforced concrete, and pro- viding for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of H. J. Taylor, cA/a The H. J. Taylor Construction Company,hereinafter referred to as "the contractor", vas submitted to the Board of Commissioners on the 17th day of September, 1945, for the construction of said public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: Paving of Spruce Street from the east line of College Avenue to the west line of Phillips Avenue in the City of Salina for a width of 271 with 6" concrete, as provided in Ordinance No. 5086, at and for the unit price of said work contained in said proposal, v&ich proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance, be and the sane is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated costs of said improvements as shovel by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this Ordinance. Section 2. The improvements shall be built and constructed according to the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the mayor and attested by the City Clerk, be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contfact price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed one per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 31, 1945, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper. Introduced October 1, 1945 Passed, October 8, 1946 J. H.
