AN ORDINANCE amending Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5083 and repealing said original
section.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5083 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows: Section 3. Said bonds shall be designated as Series
5-131 and shall contain recitals substantially as follows:

KNOW ALL 1,1EX BY THESE PRESENI6, That the City of Salina, in the County of
Salina,, State of Kansas, ackno*6dges itself to be indebted and for value received
hereby promises to pay to the bearer the sum of
in lawful money of the United States of America, on the first day of April, 19 ,
with interest thereon from the date hereof at the rate of one per cent per annum,
payable semi-annually on the first days of October and April in each year, on pre-
sentation and surrender of the interest coupons hereto annexed as said coupons
severally become due, both principal and interest of this bond being payable at the
office of the State Treasurer of the State of Kansas in the City of Topeka, Kansas.
And said City of Salina, Kansas, is held and firmly bound by these presents and the
full faith, credit and resources of said city are hereby irrevocably pledged for the
payment of said principal and interest at maturity.
This bond is one of a series of 16 bonds of like date and tenor, excepting
maturity, aggregating the sum of $70780.67 issued by the City of Salina, Kansas,
for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary Sewers Nos.
196-197-199 in the City of Salina, Kansas, by the authority of and in full con-
pliance with the provisions, restrictions and limitations of the Constitution and
the laws of the State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101 to 10-115 and Sections
12-617 to 12-629 and Sections 13-1013 to 13-1018, General Statutes of Kansas 1935,
and such sections as amended, and all other provisions of the laws of said State
applicable thereto, and this bond and all other bonds of this series, and all
interest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions and things
required to be done and to exist precdent to and in the issuance of this bond have
been properly done and piwformed and do exist in due and regular form and manner,
as required by the Constitution and laws of the State of Kansas, and that the total
indebtendess of the said City, including this series of bonds, does not exceed any
Constitutional or Statutory limitation.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, The said City of Salina, Kansas, has executed this bond
by causing it to be signed by its Mayor and its corporate seal to be hereto affixed,
attested by its City Clerk and the coupons hereto attached to be signed with the
facsimile signatures of said officers, and this bond to be dated the 1st day of
April, 1945
