AN ORDINANCE liquidating the Office of Civilian Defense and repealing
Ordinance No. 505, and
i WHEREAS, Executive Order of the President of the United States on May 21,
1941, established the Office of Civilian Defense has been rescinded,and

{ WHEREAS, the Office of Civilian Defense was to be liquidated by July 1, 1945,
I and
WHEREAS, the emergency is declared to be at an end by the State of Kansas,
NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansass
Section 1. That the local Office of Civilian Defense be discontinued

and liquidated.
Section 2. Zhat any supplies, material, equipment or any other assets

remaining in the hands of the officers of the local Office -of Civilian Defense,
i
belonging to the City of Salina shall be turned over to the City of Salina.
Section 3. That Ordinance No. 5005 is hereby repealed.

Section 4. That ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
i after its final passage and publication in the city paper.

AN ORDINANCE providing for the amendment of Ordinance No. 3188, and adding certain
areas to "D" Light Industrial District as defined in Section 6 of said ordinance,
and excluding certain areas from "B" Residential and "C" Commercial District as
defined in Sections 4 and 5 of said ordinance.
BE IT ORDAII4ED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas.-

Section 1, That "D" Light Industrial District, as defined by Section 6 of Ordinance
No. 3188, is hereby extended to include Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 in Block 6, Pacific
Addition# and those portions of Lots 1, 2, 30 4, 60 8, and 10 originally included in
Block 6, Reimoldts Military Replat in the City of Salina, Kansas; and such lots are
hereby excluded from "B" Residential and "C" Commercial Districts as defined by Sections
4 and 5 of Ordinance No. 3188.
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after its publication
in the official city paper.
