AN ORDINANCE providing for and authorizing the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $570.16 to pay the cost of constructing
lateral sanitary sewer #191 in the City of Salina, Kansas, which bonds shall
be designated as Series S-130.
WHEREAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law, a certain lateral sanitary
sewer has been constructed in the City of Salina, Kansas, in lateral sanitary sewer
district #121, as authorized by Ordinance #5038; and,
WHEREAS, the total cost of said sewer constructed in the district above mentioned and
to be paid by special assessment levied upon lots and pieces of ground liable for the
payment of said sewer in the sewer district above mentioned, has been ascertained and
is hereby found and determined to be the sun of $1478.72 which amount has been hereto-
fore duly assessed and apportioned to the several lots and pieces of ground liable
therefore according to law and as provided for in the ordinances of the City of Salina
relating thereto of which amount the sun of #908.56 has been paid by the owners of
property liable therefore, leaving a balance for which bonds will be issued in the
sum of $570.16, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED by the board of Commissioners of the City of 4alina, Kansas;
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles are hereby adopted and made a part
of this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of the
improvements hereinbefore described, there shall be issued and there hereby are issued
Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum
of $570.16 which issue shall consist of four bonds numbered one to four inclusive, all
dated May 1, 1944, which shall bear interest at the rate of one and one-quarter (11,,%)
per cent per annum from and after said date until the respective maturities of said
bonds, payable seam -annually on November first and 1day first of each year, said interest
to be evidenced by interest coupons as herein provided for and said uonds shall become
due serially in denomination, as follows;
Bond No. 1 for $142.54 due May 1, 1945
Bond No. 2 for #142.54 due May 1, 1946
Bond No. 3 for $142.54 due May 1, 1947
Bond No. 4 for $142.54 due May 1, 1948
Section 2. Said bonds shall be signed by the Mayor and shall be attested by
the signature of the City Clerk and the corporate seal of the City shall be affixed
thereto, and shall have attached thereto interest coupons representing the interest
thereon, which coupons shall be in the form provided by law and shall bear the printed
or lithographed facsimile signatures of the Mayor and City Clerk of said city and said
bonds and interest coupons shall be registered in the offices of the City Clerk and the
State Auditor as required by law.
Section 3. Said bonds shall be designated as Series 5-130 and be in the form
and shall contain recitals required by law and as provided by Resolution No. 846 duly
adopted.
Section 4. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to pre-
pare and execute the bonds hereinbefore described and to advertise and sell the same
in the manner provided by law, and, when duly executed and registered to deliver said
bonds to the purchaser or purchasers thereof.
Section 5. The full faith, credit and resources of the City of Salina
Kansas, shall be, and the same are hereby irrevocably pledged for the prompt

payment of said bonds and all interest thereon. The Board of Cmumissioners of
the City of Salina, Kansas, shall annually make provision of the payment of the
principal and interest on said bonds as the same become due by levying taxes and
assessments upon the property liable therefore as provided by law.
Section 6. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after
its publication in the official city paper.
