AN ORDINANCE providing for an option to certain licenses under Ordinance No. 5042
relating to occupational and license taxes upon certain callings, trades, pro-
fessions, businesses and occupations:
BE IT ORDAINED by the board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That subdivisions 19 and 22 of Section 2 of Ordinance 5042 of the
City of Salina, Kansas, is hereby supplemented as follows, to -wit:
That the license tax levied by such Ordinance for entering into the trade or
calling of pawnbroker in the sum of Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars (4500.00) per
annum, and the license tax in the sum of Seventy Five and No/100 Dollars (475.00)
per annum on each amusement machine may, at the option of the applicant therefor,
be paid on a semi-annual basis, namely on January 2nd and July let of each calendar
year.
Section 2. That Section 1 of this Ordinance supplements only the content and pro-
visions of Ordinance No. 5042 and that the rights, privileges and benefits of such
Ordinance No. 5042 extended unto the City of Salina are hereby fully reserved, save
and except as in Section 1 of this Ordinance specifically modified.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage and publication in the official city paper.
