All ORDINANCE providing and establishing the rates to be charged users of water sold by
The Viater Works Department of the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for cer-
tain discounts and increased minimum allowances to users of such water and pro-
viding for repealing of Section 12 of Ordinance 3191 (Section 36-116, Revised
Ordinances of Salina, 1939).
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas;
Section 1. RATES. The following are hereby established as the meter rates
which consumers of water shall pay for water furnished them by The dater Works Depart-
ment of the City of Salina:
(1) First 3000 cubic feet 3 $0.15 per 100 cubic
feet or $0.20 per 1000 gallons.
(2) Next 6000 cubic feet @ $0.12 per 100 cubic
feet or $0.16 per 1000
gallons.
(3) Next 6000 cubic feet �9 $0.09 per 100 cubic
feet or $0.12 per 1000
gallons.
(4) All above 15,000 cubic feet @ $0.05 per 100
cubic feet or $0.06.7
per 1000 gallons.
Users sand consumers of water are hereby
granted the privilege
of purchasing
water by contract on a monthly or annual basis at
their option, provided
that users
of water on an a.nual basis shall be charged at
the uniform rate of $0.15
per 100
cubic feet for use of water over the annual minimum as hereinafter prescribed.
The following are hereby established as the
minimum charges for
regular users

Section 2. DISCOUNTS AND INCREASED VOLUME FOR iY 1NIiv1Uy: CHARGES. The City Lianager
and Superintendent of The dater Works Department are hereby authorized and directed to
grant all users and consumers of water from such department 33 1/3% more water for the
minimum monthly or annual rates, as in Section 1 of this Ordinance prescribed; and such
City Manager and such Superintendent are hereby authorized to discount all monthly and
annual users' liability 25/ for water used in excess of the minimum, as in this Section
increased.
Section 3. Section 12 of Ordinance No. 3191 (Section 36-116 Revised Ordinances of
the City of Salina, Kansas, 1939) be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 4. TAKE EFFECT. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
and after its passage and -)ublication in the official city paper.
