5044 Street Crossings1 ORDIvANCE NO. 5044 (Published in the Sali.a Journal 14, 1944) AN URDINANCE providing for crossing Fourteenth Street, Fifteenth Street, Railroad Street, Elm Street, Chicago Street, Olive Street, and adjacent alleys, City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railtiaay Company tracks at grade and the maintenance thereof. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. Grade of Crossing. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company is hereby granted permission to construct, operate, maintain, repair and renew railway tracks over and across Fourteenth Street, Fifteen (formerly College) Street, Railroad Street, Elm Street, Chicago Street, and Olive Street; the north and south alley in Weaver's Second Addition in the Block bounded by Fifteenth (formerly College) Street, Fourteenth Street, the Missouri Pacific Railway and Union Pacific Railroad; the north and south alley and east and west alley in Weaver's Second Addition in Block bounded by Fifteenth (formerly College) Stre t, Elm Street, Railroad Street, and Union Pacific Railroad; the east and west alley in Block Fourteen, Elmdale, a subdivision of land as designated on the recorded plat of said subdivision; and the street or alley southwesterly of Park 1, in Elmdale, at grade thereof, between its present bridge over Dry Creek. Section 2. Maintenance at crossings andcl-ainage. That the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Co-pany shall keep, maintain and provide at its own expense, substantial and sufficient crossings and approaches of its railroad track or tracks for each street crossing, provided for in Section 1 of this ordinance, and that such, The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company shall maintain all necessary culverts under said track or tracks for normal and ordinary drainage. Section 3. The ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its publication in the official city paper.
