AN ORDII ANCE levying special assessment against certain property to pay the cost of
constructing certain water service pipes in certain streets in the City of Salina
Kansas. ,
'WHrREAS, the Board of Commissioners have heretofore ordered the owners of the
prop-
erty hereinafter described to lay water service pipes from the water mains in the
streets abutting
thereon at the back of the curb line in said streets, prior to the
Paving thereof, and
1"HERFP.S, notice was duly mi.ven by publication in the official city paper of said
order and the
owners of the property hereinafter described did not within thirty
days after the last publication
of said notice la said water service
city laid or caused the same to be laid y pipe and the
pursuant to section 12-832 to 12-833
of
the Revised Statutes of Kansas, 1935, and the cost thereof has been ascertained,
and remains
unpaid by the property owners liable therefor, NOW T_I-IEREFM E,
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That there be and there is hereby levied and assessed against
each of the lots and parts of lots hereinafter described, a special tax
or assess-
ment for the purpose of paying that part of the cost of constructing and laying 'said
water service pipes taxable against such lots and parts of lots, in the
various
amounts set opposite the following described lots and parts of lots, to -wit:
