Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor" as submitted to the Board of Commissioners on June 30, 1947, which is hereby found to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the conttact awarded by the Board of Commissioners I of said. city to said contr­.etor and signed on behalf of the city by its Mayor on i June 30, 1947, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: (1) Curbing, guttering and grading of Franklin Street from the east line of Custer Street to the west line of Sherman Street, as provided by Ordinance No. 5216. (?) Curbing, guttering and grading of Cedar Street from the west line of College Street to the east line of the right-of-V.Ry of the Missouri Pacific Railroad in said city as provided by Ordinance No. 5216. (3) Curbing, guttering and grading of Hancock Street from the north line of Venango Street to the north line of Republic Avenue, as provided by Ordinance No. 5216. (4) Curbing, guttering and grading of Grand Avenue from the viest line of Eigrlth Street to the .,,!est line of Ninth Street as pro- vided by Ordinance No. 5216. (5) Curbing, guttering and grading of Tenth Street from the south line of Hamilton Street to the north line of Antrim Avenue, as provided by Ordinance No. 5216. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specificat'ons therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance xith the proposal of said con4ractor and under the terms of said contract, all of vhich are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. - Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the 1�iayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by lain, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract Price for such work, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4 -1/2 per cent per annum and to mature not later than July lst,1.948, and to be issued in such amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
