Taylor Constraction Co__pany, h-,reinaf-"er referred to as the f1concractor", as submitted
to t',e .board of Con:inissioners on 1;iay 3, 1943, ;n,riich is hereby 'Loud to G e the lowest
and best- Nid for s-ach -fork, and -the contract avr-.rded by t:7e 3oard. of Cozr __ssioners of
said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of t!ze city by its payor on Llay 3,
1948, for tiie construction of cert --in y)ublic i_.provements in the City of Salina, to -wit:
(1) Construction of an 8" V. C. P. lateral sanitary sev,,er, lith
all necessary connections, ii,anholes, flush tanks and other
appurtenances, beginning at an existin" manhole at tale Liter -
sect` -on of the center line of vvilson Street and tree center
line of the alley next, east of Second Street; thence south
ire ce_-iter line of said alley to a point 350 feet south of the
south line of Ailson :3treetuwhere a manhole is to i.e constructed
in the center of said alley, being trie terminus of said sewer.
(2) Construction of an 8" V. C. P. lateral sanitary sewer, with
all necessary connections, raannoles, 'lush tan__s and other
appurtenances, beginni-.;g at an existing manhole in `cul
Street at tae point oi' the i_-itersection of said uincy Street
and an east and west alley next north cf Aussell Avenue thence
west in the center of said alley from said iia_.hole as an 8" V. C.P.
sewer for a distance of 450 feet to a laa:-hole to be constructed
in said alley at that point; thence (a) due .north as a 6" V. C.1'.
sewer from said manhole to be so constructed for a distance of
70 feet and (b) thence due south as a 6" V. C. P. sewer frola said
irianhole to be constructed in said alley a distance of 7C feet.
at and for the unit prices for said work contained in -aid oroposal, iAfftich proposal
and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of ti`is ordinance, be and the same
is hereby ratified and confirmed, seid proposal being within the estimated cost of
said i _proverients as sliown by the sworn esti-IRtes of the City "nGineer on file in the
o2lice of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and i,iade a part of
this ordnance.
Section 2. Said iLiprovements shall cle built and co istructed in ac:cor ance %rith
the plans and specifications therefore prepared br the City i='ngineer on file in the
office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and
under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and :lade par Js
of tris ordinance.
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Lia.vor and attested by the City
Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as
required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such
work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 4 1/2 per cent ,ger annum and to
mature not later than March 15th 1919 , and to be issued in such
amounts and at such time as money for the payment of the cost of such notes to e
issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the gime that per-
manent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
