5276 Vacate Norton, Ellsworth, Minneapolis Street & Alleys- - -- -- ---- _ _ ---.-Ordinance Number 26 First Published in the Salina Journal 4-t- 1948) AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of portions of certain streets and alleys in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. SEAS, a petition was duly filed praying for the vacation of portions of streats and alleys hereinafter described; and WIMEAS, said petition was du hr and regularly referred to the PheLaning and Zoning Commission of the City of Salina and said Planning and Zoning Commission recommended that said portions of said streets and alleys be vacated; and WBEREAS, the governing body of said city deems it to be in the public interest for said portions of said streets and alleys to be vacated; AID, SO NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAU1110 BY THE BQARD OF COjgjISU IOI'uS OFTII� C I`IY OF SALTt1A, KANSAS: Section 1. That that portion of Norton Street, commencing at its intersection with the north line of Kirwin Avenue, thence north to the south line of Jewell :Avenue, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 2. That that portion of Norton Street commencing at its intersection with the north line of Minneapolis Avenue, thence north to the south line of Republic Avenue, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 3. That that portion of Ellsworth Avenue from the east line of Quincy Street, thence east to the west line of Roach Street, be and it is hereby- vacated. Section 4. That that portion of Jewell Avenue, commencing at a point 280 feet west of the west line of Roach Street, thence east to the west line of Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 5. That that portion of Minneapolis Avenue commencing at its inter- section with the east line of Norton Street, thence east to the west line of Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 6. That a certain east and west public alley lying between Kirwin Avenue and Jewell Avenue and connecting Quincy Street and Norton Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 7. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Kirwin Avenue and Jewell Avenue and connecting Norton Street and Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section S. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Jewell Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue and connecting Quincy Street and Norton Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 9. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Ellswoath Avenue and Jewell Avenue and connecting Norton Street and Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 10. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Ellsworth Avenue and Minnea;_olis Avenue and connecting Quincy Street and Norton Street, be and it is hereby vacated. 1 1 Section 11. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying I between Ellsworth Avenue and Minneapolis Avenue connecting Norton Street and Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. i Section 12. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Minneapolis Avenue and Beloit Avenue and connecting Quincy Street and Norton Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 13. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Minneapolis Avenue and Beloit Avenue, and connecting Norton Street and Roach Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 14. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Beloit Avenue and Republic Avenue, connecting Quincy Street and Norton Street, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 15. That that portion of a certain east and west public alley lying between Beloit Avenue and Republic Avenue and connecting Norton and Roach Streets, be and it is hereby vacated. Section 16. That the various portions of streets and alleys vacated, as afore- said, shall revert to the owners of land thereto adjoining on each side, in proportion to the frontage of such land, in the manner provided by law. Section 17. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
