Taylor Construction Company, for the construction and installation of four (4) concrete tennis courts and incidental appurtenances as provided for by Pesoluticn Ido. 984, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Col-ijnissioners of the City of Sal -.:nab Kansas. Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, of the proposal of the H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor" as submitted to the Board of Conunissioners Aovember 3rd 1947, i',hich is hereby found to be the lowest and 'nest bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissiaaers of said city to said contractor and s,.gned on behalf of the city by its Playor on December 8th 1747, fcr the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, to -wit: Installation and construction of four (4) concrete tennis courts and appurtenances asprovided by Resolution No. 984, at and for the unit prices for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and :Wade parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, saidproposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed an accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes sighed by the -ayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to ti.:,e as the work progresses in tide manner a7id form by law, tie total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such as rewired work, such notes to Gear '.nterest not to exceed 4z per cent per annum and to mature not later than January 15th , 1950, and to be issued in such amounts and at such ti,-ne as money for the payment of the cost of such work may be re :_uired, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in :Force from and after its .publication in the o"ficial city paper.
