All ORDI' ANCE providing for the regulation of places of business wherein cereal
malt beverages are sold at retail for consumption on the premises and
providing for the revocation of the license of any firm, person, partner-
ship, association or any other licensee for ti -ie violation thereof and
amending ordinance lio. 4741 of the City of Salina by enactment of new
sections, being sectiorn:: 21 ad_22 to be added thereto, and providing
for the repeal of Ordinance No. 5203.
4uHER"r AS, ticker machines have been employed in certain ceral malt beverage retail
establishments in the City of Salina; and
"rirTREAS, said ticker machines have been employed as a means to facilitate gaiabling
in and about such establishment; and
V,`,--TEREAS, the Board of Conuaissioners deem it adviseable to regulate possession and use
of said ticker machine in and about premises employed as a place for the retail sale
of cereal malt bever^,.ges; and
SO NOW, —H 'RE VIRE,
BE IT JRDAIRED by the Board of Coixaiss Toners of the City of Salina:
Section 1. That a certain ordinance No. 4741, being an ordinance relating
to the regulation, licensing and taxing of persons engaved in the retail sale of
cereal malt beverages, enacted April 29, 1937, be and it is nereby ameAbd by the
enactment of a new section, being section twenty-one (21), readi:zg as follows:
" Section 21. That any person licensed to retail cereal malt
beverages for consumption on theAiP-9445P to the provisions
of Ordinance loo. 4741 and all amendments :,,thereto permitting,
suffering or providing for the use of a ticker machine on or
about the premises, where ceral malt beverages are sold at
retain shall cause said ticker machine to be :kept at all times
in plain view from the sidewalk and shall cause said ticker
machine to be kept within 30 feet of the front entrance of
any such place.
"Section 22. That any person violating the provisions or Sectian
21 of Ordinance No. 4741 as hereby amended, as determined by the
Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, that then and in
that event, any license issued under the terms and conditions of
Ordinance No. 4741 and amendments thereto, may be revoked as in
said Ordinance No. 4741 provided for other causes."
Section 2. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
