ORDINANCE NUMBER 91-9448
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 30-18 OF THE SALINA CODE
REGARDING MERCHANT POLICE VEHICLES; AND REPEALING THE EXISTING
SECTIONS 30-18, 30-19, 30-21, AND 30-23.
I Kansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the city of Salina,
Section 1. That Section 30-18 of the Salina Code is hereby amended to
I read as follows:
"Section 30-18. Marking of vehicles.
No vehicle used by a merchant police service or
merchant policeman while performing the duties for which he
is licensed or for which he has obtained a permit under this
article shall be marked with identifying insignia similar in
color or design to those used by the police department of
the city or any other governmental law enforcement agency."
Section 2. That Article I of Chapter 30 is hereby amended by
repealing Sections 39-19, 30-21 and 30-23.
Section 3. That the existing Section 30-18, 30-19, 30-21 and 30-23 of
the Salina Code are hereby repealed.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
land after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
