SECTION 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with
the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on filo in the office

SECTION 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by th3 City
Clerk be issued from time to tmie as the work progresses in the manner and form provided and
required by law, the t otal amoant thereof not t o exceed the contract price for such work,
such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4-1 per cent per annum and to mature not later

than December 1, 1950 and to be issued in such am-unts and at such times as money for the
payment of the cost of such n tes ba issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and can-
celled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.

AN CR DINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with the H. J. Taylor Construction Company
for the construction of certain curbing, guttering, paving and grading; improvements on
certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to
pay the cost th,reof pending the issuance and sale of bonds.
BE ITCRDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
SECTION 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salinas nansas, of the proposal
of the H. J. Taylor Construction Company, h_>re1_n-after referrad to as the "Contractor" as
submitted to the Board of Commissioners on July 11, 1949, which is hereby found to be the
lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of
said city to said contract and signed on behalf of the City by its payor on July 18, 1949 for
the construction of certain public improvemen's in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -wit:
Curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Reynolds Street
from the center line of North Streetto the center line of
Lincoln Street, as provided by Ordinance dumber 5389.
Curbi.np-, guttering, paving and grading of Seventh Street
from the center line of Decatur Street to the cater line
of grand Avenue as provided by Ordinance Number 5389.
Curbing, gutter ins;, paving and grading of Tenth Street from
the north lire of 'a�oodland Avenue to the south line of
Broadwa%- Boulavard, as prov".dad by Ordinance :u.lb:;r 5389.
at and for the unit prices for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and con-
jtract are he-eby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be the same is hereby ratified
and confirmed, said proposal tieing within the estim>'ted cost of said improvements as shown
