AN ORDINANCE providing and establishing the rate to be charged of users of water sold by
the Water Works Department of the City of Salina and providing for increased minimum allow-
ances to users of such water and providing for repealing of Section 1 of Ordinance 5045.
BE IT ORDAITED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
SECTION 1. RATES. The following are heteby established as the: meter rates which con-
sumers of water shall pay for water furnished them by the Water Works Department of the City
of Salina from and after July 1, 1949.
11 First 3000 cubic feet it $.168 per 100 cubic feet $.225 per 1000 gallons
Next 6000 cubic feet @ .135 per 100 cubic feet . 18 per 1000 gallons
Next 6000 cubic feet @ .106 per 1UO cubic feet 14 per 1000 gallons
Over 15000 cubic feet @ .056 per 100 cubic feet .075 per 1000 gallons
Users and consumers of water are hereby granted the priviledge of purchasing water by
contract on a monthly or annual basis at their option, provided that users of water an an
annual basis shall be charged at the unifarm rate of $0.168 per 100 cubic feet for use of
water over the annual minimum as hereinafter prescribed.
T The following are hereby established as the minimum charges for regular users of water
using the prescribed sine of meter and the maximum volume of water for each minimum charge
on a monthly and annual basis; from and after July 1, 1949

SECTION 2. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 5045, be and it is hereby repealed effective
July i, 1949.
SECTION 3, TAKE EFFECT. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its Ia ssaT,e and publication in the officail city paper.
