1N ORDIN"CE LEVYING At LIBENSE TAX ON :RETAILERS OF ALCOHOLIC LIQUORS BY
CKAGE IN THE CITY OF SAL INA, KANSAS.
►HEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas is a city in which licenses for the
if alcoholic liquors by the package may be issued by the state director

nk; IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE CITY OF SALINA ,
KANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied an annual license tax on eah4 retailer
of alcoholic liquor ( including beer containing more than 3.20% of alcohol.'by
weight) for consumption off the premises ( sales in the original package
only) in the sum of Three hundred dollars 0300000) in the City of Salina,Kansas,
who has a retailer's license issued by the state director of alcoholic beverage
control, which tax shall be paid before business is begun ander an original state
license and within ten (10) days after any renewal of state license.
SECTION 2. A holder of a license for the retail sale of alcoholic liquors
by the package in the City of Salina, Kansas:, issued by the state director of
alcoholic beverage control shall present such license when applying to pay the
license tax levied in Section 1 and the tax shall be received and receipt issued
for the period covered by the state license by the City Clerk.
SECTION 3. Every license shall cause the city alcoholic liquor retailer's
license tax receipt to be placed in plain view next of below the state license
in a conspicuous place on the licensed premises.
SECTION 4. Any person, copartnership or association having a state license
to retail alcoholic liquor by the package who shall fail to pay the license tax
herein levied and within the time prescribed or who shall violate any other pro-
vision of this ordinance shall upon convection be fined not more than one
hundred dollars for each day's violation; pro*ided, nothing herein sh all be con-
strued to prohibit the city from collecting the occupation tax by any procedure
authorized by law.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its adoption and publication in the officail city paper.
