AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming the contract of Johnson Brothers Con-
struction Company and Brown and Brown
Disposal Plant for the City of Salinas Inc` for the building of a Sewage, Kansas
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas z i
Section 1. That the acceptance 7a of Salina

Proposal of Johnson Brothers Construction C&mpany and Brown and Brown, 'no.,
hereinafter referred to as "Contractor" as submitted to the said Board on

April 25, 1949 is found to be the 10vfest and best bid for the work to be
Performed, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said cit
to said contractor and signed on behalf of the Cit o y
City f Salina, by its Mayor on
May 2, 1949, for the building of a Sewage Disposal Plant for the inhabitants �
of said City,, without the city. at and for the unit prices for said work con-
tained in said proposal, which proposal and contract is hereby referred to and �
made part of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and ccalfirmed
said proposal being within the estiffiated cost of said improvements as shown
by the sworn estimates of a competent engineer in
eer for such purpose and being
on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby r eferred
to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built, constructed and completed
in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor

Engineer for such purpose and on file in the office of the Cit C

respective proposal of said contractor and under the terms
of said contract, all of which are incorporated in this ordinance by reference
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its publication once in the official city paper.
