Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Sal' -a of the proposal
of the H. J. Taylor Construction Corapany, herein -after referred to as tJ.ze "Con-
tractor" as submitted to the Board of Cor.imissioners on Septei:rber 27, 1�'131, hhich
is hereby found to be the lowest and best ;id for suc?]. ork, and the contract
awarded by the Board of Co=,u ssioners of said city to said coi_,tractor and
si:mned on behalf of the City of Salina by its Layor on October 25, 1948 for the
construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to -:-it:

be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within
the estimated cost of said L,iproveiaonts as sho .m. by the s Porn estimates of the
City En^;ineer on file in the office of t' -ie City Clerk, kfnic'i estimates are
hereby referred to and made a ;Dart of t]iis ord9.nance.
Section 2. Said Lii.provements shall be built and constructed in accordance
',-:-i th tae plans and specifications therefor tyre -pared by t'ie City L_-1-ineer on file
in the office of the City Clerk aiid in accordance with the -proposal of said
contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of i,J ich are hereby- referred
to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 3. That Temporary "4otes s imed by the i-ayor a;�d at -bested by the
�'ity Clerk be Irsued from time to time as the work progresses :in the manner
and form as recuired by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the con-
tract price for such r.•ork, such notes to bear interest not to exceed 4� per
cent per annum and to mature not later than Dece_riber 1, 1949
and to be issued in such amounts and at such tine as r_oney for the pajnr_ent
of the cost of such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed
a_ad cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
