ORDINANCE NUMBER 91-9441
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE MEMBERSHIP OF THE SALINA
BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT NUMBER 1 BOARD OF ADVISORS,
AMENDING SECTION 6 OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 83-8979 AS AMENDED BY
ORDINANCE NUMBER 87-9172; AND REPEALING THE EXISTING SECTION 6.
Kansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. That Section 6 of Ordinance Number 83-8979, as amended
by Ordinance Number 87-9172, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 6. That the Salina Business Improvement District
Number 1 Board of Advisors is hereby established in
accordance with the Business Improvement District Act.
There shall be thirteen (13) members of the Board of
Advisors of Salina Business Improvement District Number 1
who shall be appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the
Governing Body. The Mayor shall make appointments from
individuals recommended by the Board of Directors of
Downtown Salina, Inc.; provided, however, that the Mayor
may reject any recommendations and request new
recommendations.
The purpose of the Board of advisors is to monitor
and to oversee the provisions of the services as established
by this ordinance. The Board shall, not later than May 15th
of each year, submit to the Governing Body a recommended
program of services to be performed or provided within the
district during the coming year and a proposed budget to
accomplish these objectives."
Section 2. That the existing Section 6 of Ordinance Number 83-8979,
as amended by Ordinance Number 87-9172, is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
