AN ORDINANCE providing for the condemnation of certain land for public use
in the extension of the Municipal Airport of the City of Salina, Kansas.
WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution Number 1071, adopted by the Board
of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, at a regular meeting held
on September 13, 1948, H. F. Harper has made a survey, description and
Plat of the lands referred to and described in said resolution, and filed
the same with the Clerk of said Board on the 13th day of September, 1948;
and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to appropriate certain private property, so sur-
veyed, as aforesaid, for public use as an extension of the Municipal Airport
of the City of Salina described as follows, to -wit:
The West one-half of the Southeast Quarter
of Section 20, Township 14, South, Range 2
Wiest of the 6th P. M. in Saline County,
Kansas.
WHEREAS, the owner of said premises will not donate or sell said described
private property for the purpose aforesaid;
NOff TH113EPORE BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of
Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. The following described land is hereby condemned and
appropriated for the use of the City of Salina, Kansas as a site for the
extension of the Municipal Airport of said city, to -writ:
The West one-half of the Southeast Quarter
of Section 20, Township 14, South, Range 2
West of the 6th P. M. in Salina County,
Kansas.
all in accordance with the projected plans and specifications now on file
in the office of the City Clerk of Salina, Kansas.
Section 2. The City Attorney of said city is hereby ordered and
directed to forthwith prepare, file and present, in the name of the Board
of Commissioners a written application to the Judge of the District Court
of Saline County, Kansas praying for appointment of Commissioners to make
appraisement and assessment of damages arising from the appropriation of
said real estate and to do and perform all things in and about the procur-
ing and recording of said order of appointment as required by law.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
after its passage and publication in the official city paper.

REPORT OF SIRVEYOR
To: The Honorable Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina,
Saline County, Kansas:
PURSUANT to directions contained in Resolution Number 1071, adopted
by your Honorable body on the 13th day of September, 1948, I beg
and report that I have made a survey, description and Plat of the
land referred to in said resolution, to -wit:
The West one-half of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 20, Township 14,
South, Range 2 West of the 6th P. M.
in Saline County, Kansas.
attached thereto for public (municipal) purposes, Saline County,.
Kansas. Said Plat showing the lines of the survey, and made in
accordance with said survey, and containing the description of the
property, identical with that hereinbefore set out, is now filed
with the City Clerk of said City.
