AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming the respective contracts of(H. J. Taylor Con-

struction Company and Charles W. Sheldofor the improvement of the Salina Municipal
Airport of the City of Salina, Kansas.

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina, Kansas of the proposal of
H. J. Taylor Construction Company and of the proposal of Charles W. Sheldon, herein-
after referred to as "Contractors" as respectively submitted to the said Board on
August 23, 1948, are respectively found to be the lowest and best bids fns the work
to be respectively performed, and the contracts awarded by the Board of Commissioners
of said city to said contractors and signed on behalf of the City of Salina by its
Mayor on September 20, 1948, for the improvement of the Salina Municipal Airport of
the said city, at and for the unit prices for said work in said proposal, which
proposals and contracts are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be
and the same are hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposals being within the
estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimates of the�ity Engi-
neer for such purpose and being on file in the office of the City Clerk, which esti-
mates are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built, constructed and completed in accord-
ance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by thei.Cityi Engineer for such
purpose and on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the respect-
ivero osal of said contractors and under the terms of said respewtive contracts, all

of which are in corporated with this ordinance by reference.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
publication in the official city paper.
