ORDINANCE NUMBER 91-9437
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 28-1 OF THE SALINA CODE
REGARDING THE LICENSING OF ICE CREAM VENDORS AND ITINERANT
CANVASSERS.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 28.1 of The Salina Code is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Section 28-1. Licensing.
(a) The following shall be required to have a license
pursuant to Chapter 20:
(1) Canvassers ( itinerant or transient canvassers, or
book, map or picture agents or salesmen);
(2) Ice cream vendors (vendors selling ice cream or
soft drinks from vehicles) ;
(b) License fees under this section shall be as prescribed
in Section 2-2."
Section 2. That the provisions of this ordinance shall become effective
May 1, 1991.
Section 3. That the existing section Sections 28-1 of the Salina Code
is hereby repealed.
Section
4. The
City
Clerk
is hereby
directed
to
prorate, as of
May 1, 1991, and
refund to
the
license
holder the
balance
of
any license fees
paid for the licenses repealed by this ordinance.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
