Ari ORDIIIA1 CE ratifying and confirming a contract with the H. J. Taylor Construction
Caripany for the construction of -certain curbing, guttering, and grading
improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for
the issuance of Temporary motes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance
and sale of bonds.
Sr IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas+
Section 1. That the acceptance by the City of Salina of the proposal of the
H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "Contractor"'as
submitted to -the Board of Commissioners on September 11, 1950, which is hereby found to
be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of
Commissioners of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City of
Salina by the I,:ayor on September 18, 1950 for the construction of certain public
improvements in the City Of Salina, Kansas, to -wit;
Curbing, guttering, and grading of +ilson Street
from the east line of Front Street to the center
line of Sunrise Drive, as provided by Ordinate 5;01.:
Curbing, guttering, and grading of Stack Avenue from
the center line of Ohio Street to the east line of
Delaware Avenue, as provided by Ordinance No. 5504.
Curbing, guttering, a --d grading of Relawar_eAvenue fram
the south line of Gypsum Avenue to the north line of
Stack Avenue, as provided by Ordinance 240. 5504.
Curbing, guttering, and grading of Llorningside Drive
from the east line of Front Street to the east line
of Kenison Road, as provided by Ordinance 1,11o. 5504.
Curbing, guttering, and grading of Kenison Road from
the north line of Morningside Drive to the north line
of Milson Street, as provided by Ordinance No. 5504.
Curbin;, guttering, and grading, of Connecticut Avenue
frofn the aouth line of Gypsum Avenue to the north line
of Stack Avenue, as provided b -y Ordinance luo. 5504.
at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal
and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance be an dtue same
is ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the esti~nated cast of said
i_mprovenents as shown by the sworn estimated cost of the City Engineer on file in
the office of the City Clerk, which as:-imates are heresy referred to and made a part
of this ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance
IAth the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer on file in the
office cf the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor grid under
- the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to aw made a part of this
ordinance.

Clerk be issued from time to time as the Zwrk progresses in the manner and f-14%.as
required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such
viork, such notes' -to bear interest ,not to exceed 4� per cent per annum, and to mature
not later than December 1, 1951, and to be issued in such amounts and at such tunes as
money for -the payment of the cost of such notes Ube issued to said contractor and to
be redeemed and cancelled at the time that permanent bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
$-ection 4. This ordina,_ce shall be in force from and after its publication
once in the official city paper.
