BE IT ORD MED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. For the :-)urpose of paying for that part of the cost of improvements of certain portions of certain str,^ets as hereinafter set forth in the follol;r_ing sections of this ordinance tn,iich is chargeable to the ;private property in the assessment districts for each of such im;_,rove.nents, respect- ively,as set forth in the follovring sections of this ordinance ,7..ith respect to each of such improvements there are hereby levied and assessed on the property liable therefor, beim- all the lots and nieces of ground lying on either side of said streets so improved, respectively, to the middle of the block for the distance improved, vjith respect to the improvements mentioned in Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 3, 9, 10, 11 and 12 of this ordinance, accord- in- to the appraised value of such lots and pieces of ground tiaith respect to each such improvement, without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, special assessments covering the cost of such arork and improvements, said special assessments being based on the special valuation and appraise- ment of said lots and pieces of _round heretofore made by three disinterested a_apraisers appointed by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, with respect to each such improvement, v,nich said appraisements are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, and the several amounts so levied, apportioned and assessed against the lots and pieces of around for each such improvements, respectively, for the purpose aforesaid, are hereby found and determined to be the .amounts set forth in the following sections of this ordinance with respect to each of said improvements.
