That the acceptance by the City of Salina of 'tile proposal of the li. J. Taylor Construction Compmay, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor" as su'amitted to the Board of Comm issioners on 1>ay 22, IC50, vLicn is hereby found to be the lormst and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Coaunissioners of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the City by its '°ayor on ':Iay 29, 1950, for the cohstruc'ci on of certain public improvauents in the City of Salina, I.ansas, to -,rpt ; A lateral sanitary sewer in a certain benefit district being Lateral Sanitary Sevier 1!,air_ber 250, as heretofore provided by Ordinance ,';Lauber 5463 as follows: Constr- uction of an S inch cla r pipe sewer bebiilninf; at an existing manhole in the intersection of Fourth Street and Lamar Street; thence east along the center line of Third Street 340 feet more or less, to the center line of Third Street, at itiieh place a manhole vdll be con- structed which vrill be the terminus thereof} at and for tide unit price for said work contained in said proposal, vllich proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being vrithin tho estLmated cost of said improvements as sliovrr. by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referrod to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Enr-ineer on rile in the office of the City Ulark and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of tivhich are hereby referred to and laa.de a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the i,iay or and attested b;,- the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the viork progresses in the rlanner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work„ such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 4- per cent per annuu and to mature not later titan December 1, 1051, and to be issued in such amounts and at such tunes as money for the pa-mient of the cost of such vrork may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Irlprovoment Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and a7`ter its publication once ill the official city payer.
