AN ORDINANCE ratifying and confmi rg a contract .,ri th H. J. TaT, for Cor structior Company for
the construction of certain lateral sanita-rT sev-er in the Cit-,- of Salina, Heretofore
desic~nated as Lateral Sanitary Benner District 210 and provi dire.~ for the issuance of
temporary notes to pa,,, the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds.
BE IT O1,'JJAI`ED b:,r the Loard of Commissioners of the City of Salina, iiansas:
Section 1. That the acceptance by the Citi- of Salina of the proposal of the H. J.
Taylor Co -instruction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "contractortt as submitted to
the Board of Conwi ssioners on Yay 0, 1950, -mhich is hereby found to be the loa�est and best
bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to
said contractor and sir-ned on behalf of the city by its Mayor on I}iay 15, 1950, f_ or the
construction of certain ublic improvements in the Cit? of Salina, Kansas, to-id.t:
An 8 inch cla7,% pipe seiner, beginning at an existing manhole in the inter-
section_ of Front Street and Wilson Street; thence east along center line of
Wilson Street to tine center line of Ken.son road; thence south alone center
line of Kenison Road 345 feet, there a manhole to be constructed .-hich vrill

at and for the unit price for said ti.,ork contained in said proposal, which proposal and
contract are hereby referred to and made parts of t h_i_s ordinance, be and the same is
herebzT ratified and_ confirmed, said proposal being zvitlxin the estir.ated cost of said
improvements as 2ho,n by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of
the City Cleric, ,°.nich esti-_ates are hereby referred to and made a part of t -is ordinance.
Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance viith the

and specifications
therefore prepared
by the City

terms of said contract, all of vrhich are hereby referred to and made apart of this ordinane
Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the iv4ayor and attested by the City Clerk
be issued from tune to time as the work bro -tresses in the manner and form as reeuired by
law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such '.vork, such notes
to bear interest at not to exceed 41. per cent per annum and to mature not later than
December 1, 1951, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the
payment of the cost of such work may be recMired, such notes to be issued to said con-
tractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal 'I'mprovement Ponds are
issued in lieu xi thereof.
Section 4. That ordinance sh�_ll take effect and be in force from and after its n' li-
cation once in the official city paper.
