A111 ORDINANCE LEVYING A LICENCE TAX ON ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR DISTb'IBUTORS
WITH PRM1a1ISES SITUATE WITEIN THE CITY OF SALINA AND PRESCRIBING A
PENALTY FOR THE VIOUTION THEREOF.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COIE`.2IS.�IONERS OF Tf r; CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS:
SECTION 1. There is hereby levied an annual licence tax on each alcoholic
liquor distrimator in the amount of $ 1250.00 0 with premisesituate within the c
corporate limits of the city of SalinaIs
, nsas, which distribttor has a distributor's
licence issued by the State Lirector of Alcoholic 'leverage Control, and that said
tax shall be paid within ten days from the effbetive date of this ordinance; that
a tax in like amount is hereby levied to be paid within ten (10) days after the
issuance of any new licence unto any such distributor, or any r4m nm%l of a licence
issued unto such distributor by the tate Director of Alocholic Beverage Control,
SECTION 2. The holder of a licence as an alcoholic liquor distributor issued
by the State llirector of Alcoholic Beverage Control shall present such licence when
applying to pay the licence tax levied in `section 1 of this ordinance and the
tax shall be received and a receipt issued for the period covered by the state licence.
Section 3. Any firm, co -partnership, association or corporation having a state
licence as an alcoholic liquor distributor which shall fail to pay a licence tax
herein levied and within the time prescribed hereunder, or who shall violate any
other provision of this ordiaance, shall upon conviction be fined not more than X100.00
for each day's violation;. provided nothing; herein shall tre construed toprohibit
the city from collecting the licence tax by any procedure authorized by law*
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect upon and after
its adoption and ;ublication once in the official city paper.
