ORDINANCE NUMBER 90-9413
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AN ADDITIONAL ONE-HALF CENT (1/2�)
RETAILERS' SALES TAX BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1991 AND ENDING
DECEMBER 31, 1992.
WHEREAS, K.S.A. 12-187(e) provides that if a majority of the electors
voting at such election shall approve the levying of such tax, the Governing
Body of any such City shall provide by ordinance for the levy of the tax, SO
NOW, THEREFORE
Kansas:
BE IT ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina,
Section 1. There is hereby levied pursuant to K.S.A. 12-187 an
additional one-half cent (1/24t) retailers' sales tax beginning January 1, 1991 and
ending December 31, 1992, with the proceeds to be used locally for the merger
of the Kansas College of Technology with Kansas State University as the Kansas
State University -Salina Campus.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption and publication once in the official city newspaper.
