5590 Annexation- — - _ ORLINANCE N0. 5590 (Published in the Salina Journal 2 1951) ATi ORDIN-__--- _---_ -- ANCE providing for the inclus cn of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of said city and repealing Section 4 of Ordinance No. 5580. JMREAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in theCity of Salina, have come to pass, and now BE IT ORLAINEDby the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1, That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City j of Salina, in Section 2I,, Township 14 south, Range 3 west, of Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the center i line of Beloit Avenue and Roach Street, thence east along the center line of Beloit Avenue i 663 feet to its intersection with the center line of Lewis Avenue; thence south along the center line of Lewis Avenue 326 feet to its intersection with the center line of Minn- eapolis Avenue; thence west along the center line of Minneapolis Avenue 663 feet to its intersection trith the center line of Roach Street; thence north along center line of Roach Avenue 326 feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby included within the corporate limits of said city. That the ov;ners of said tract did petition the governing body of said city to incorporate the same within the limits of said city. Section 2. That a certain tract of land in Section 14, Township 14, Range 3 west, of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east right-of-way of US 81 By-pass and 2695 feet south of the center line of 11alnut Street Xf thence south along east right-of-way of US 81 By- pass 1309.5 feet to the south line of Section 7.4, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence east along south line of said Section 111, 450 feet, thence north 780 feet and parallel to the east right-of-way line of US 81 By-pass; thence east and parallel to the south line of said Section 14, 425 feet to the west right-of-way line of Missouri Pacific Railway; thence north along said right -of -,,ray line of railz,.ay 529.5 feet; thence west 660 feet parallel to the said south line of said Section 114; thence north parallel to the said east right -of -tray line of US 81 By-pass 330 feet; thence west 35 feet, thence south 330 feet; thence west 180 feet, more or less, to the point of be- ginni-ng# be and it is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina that the owners of said tract did petition the zioverning body of said city to incorporate the same within the limits of said city. Section 3. That a certain tract of land in Section 14 Township Il.r., Range 3 west, of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the east right-of-way line of the Missouri Pacific Railway and the center line of Crawford Avenue which is the south line of Section 14j Township 14 south, Range 3 west of Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north along east right-of-way line of said railway 1639.5 feet; thence west and parallel to said section line 726 feet; thence south 330 feet; thence east 660 feet to west right-of-waylineof sai t railway; thence south along west rift -of -,,lay line of said railway 529.5 feet; thence west 425 feet; thence south 780 feet to south line of said section; thence east along said Section line 491 feet to the point of beginning g be and it is hereby incorporated hi City of Salina so that the boundary within the limits of the line of said city will be straight and harmonious, Section 4. Section 5. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into and made parts of said city under the previsions of the preceding sections of this ordinance, and that all of the land lying within the following described boundary be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of said city and made a part of said city, and that such corporate limits be and the same are hereby defined, as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of Ninth Street with the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner common to Section 23a 24, 25, and 26, Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas; thence west along the south line of Section 23, 1661 feet; thence north to the northwest corner of Park View Addition to said city; thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner of said addition; thence north along; the west line of said addition to its intersection with the easterly line of the right -of -sway of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company; thence north along the east line of said railroad right-of-way to its intersection with the center line of Crawford Street thence west along the center line of Crawford Street 1226 feet;
