AN ORDINANCE prohibiting parking of vehicles upon private property without the consent
of the owner or lessee of such property, and prescribing a penalty for the viola-
tion thereof and for removal of such vehicle.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina:
I
Section 1. 24-1402A. It shall be unlawful for any person to park, place or
leave standing, whether attended or unattended, any vehicle upon the private real
property of another, without the consent of the owner or lessee of said real property.
Section 2. 24-1402B. It is declared to be a public offense for any person to
violate the foregoing section and any person convicted of such violation thereof shall
be punished by a fine of not more than $50.00.
Section 3. 24-1403A. Whenever any person complains under oath that a vehicle
is standing upon private real property in violation of Section 1 hereof, any police
officer is hereby authorized to provide for the removal of such vehicle to the nearest
garage or other place of safety. That the owner or other person entitled to the possession
of any such vehicle shall be required to pay the reasonable cost of such removal before
being entitled to the possession of such vehicle.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
