5580 Annexation�I 1 _ORDINANCE _ N0. - a� -- (Published in the Salina Journal. 1 951) AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, preacribing'the corporate limits of said city and repealing Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5570, 1*3ER.W, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina, have come to pass, and now BE IT 0RDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, in Section 14, Township 14 south, Range 3 west, of Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point 242 feet west of the east line of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 14, thence west along north line of said Section 114, 635 feet, thence south along east right -of -sway of US 81 by-pass 2365 feet, thence east and parallel to the south line of said Section 14, 875 feet to the west right - Of -WAY of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence north along the said west right-of-way 1170 feet; thence west 305.4 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 60 Walnut Grove Addi- tion., to the City of Salina, Kansas; thence north along the west line of said addition 1195 feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby included wit#in the corporate limits of said city. That the owners of said tract did petition the governing body of said city to incorporate the same within the limits of said city. Section 2. That a certain tract of land in Section 14, Township 14, Range 3 west, of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the point of intersection of the east right-of-way of Missouri Pacific Railroad and the I south line of Walnut Grove Addition, City of Salina, Kansas, extended east; thence west along the south line of said addition 63.4 feet, thence south along west right-of-way of Missouri Pacific Railroad MO feet; thence east 66 feet, more or less, to the east right- of-way line of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence north along said east right -Of 3.170 feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious. j Section 3, That a certain tract of land in Section 14, Township 14, Range 3 west, of the Sixth Principal Boridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Bkginnsikg at iLFPdi.lkt which is on north line of said Section 14 and eleven hundred sixty two feet (11621) west of the east line of the northwest quarter of said Section 1.4; thence south on a line which is parallel to and 165 feet west of right-of-way ofUS 81 by-pass t {,housand three hundred sixty five feet (23651); thence east and parallel to the south line of said quarter section two hundred eighty-five (285) more or less, to the east right-of-way of US 81 by-pass; thence north along east line of said right-of-way two thousand three hundred sixty fife feet (23651) to north line of said Section 1.4, thence west two hundred eighty-five feet (2851) to point of beginning, be and it is herebyincorporated rporated wit�tin the limits of the City of Salina so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious. Section 4. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are here- by extended to include the territory added top taken into and made parts of said city under j the provisions of the preceding sections of this ordinance, and that all of the land lying within the following described boundary be and the same is hereby declared to be within the 1 1 1 corporate limits of said city and made a part of said city* and that such corporate limits be and the same are hereby defined, as follows: Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of Ninth Street with the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner common to Section 23, 24, 25, and 26, Township 14 south, e Ran$ 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas; thence west along the south line of Section 23, 1661 feet; thence north to the northwest corner of Park View Addition to said city; thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner of said addition; thence north along the west lineof said addition to its intersection with the easterly line of the right-of-way of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company; thence north along the east line of said railroad right -of -away to the point of 3.170 feet south of the south line of Walnut Grove Addition, thence west 1226 feet, thence north 2365 feet to a point on the center line of Walnut Street 165 feet west of the west right -of -'way line of US 81 by pass, thence west along the center line of Walnut Street to the center line of Dry Creek, thence in a northerly direction down the center of Dry Creek to the intersection of the center line of said creek with the center line of the c i hannel of the Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established, being the first point of intersection of said lines lying north of Walnut Street; thence north along the center line of the channel of said Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established to its next intersection with the center line of Dry Creek as originally existing; thence down the center line of the channel of Dry Greek as originally existing to the point of intersection of said line with the center line of the channel of Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established, being the first point or intersection of said lines lying north of the main line right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad and lying adjacent to Block 10 in Chicago Addition; thence northeasterly down the center {' line of the channel of the the next intersection of said lineewith t he center line onnel as f established to down the center line of Dry Creek as originally existing �`t Creek; thence g to its intersection with the west line of Pacific Addition, being the west line of the northwest quarter of the northeast quarter of Section ].l Township' 14., Range 3s thence north along said line to the north line of said Section 11, thence east along said line of Pacific Avenue to the intersection of said line of Pacific Avenue to the intersection of said line with the southwesterly line, extended south- easterly, of Lots 1, 3 and 5 of Block 32 in Military Addition; thence north- easterly along said line and along the west line of Lots 7 and 9 in said.
