AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of
the City of Salina, preacribing'the corporate limits of said city and repealing
Section 3 of Ordinance No. 5570,
1*3ER.W, all conditions precedent to the inclusion of certain land in the City of Salina,
have come to pass, and now
BE IT 0RDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City
of Salina, in Section 14, Township 14 south, Range 3 west, of Sixth Principal Meridian in
Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at a point 242 feet west of the
east line of the northwest one-quarter of said Section 14, thence west along north line of
said Section 114, 635 feet, thence south along east right -of -sway of US 81 by-pass 2365 feet,
thence east and
parallel to the south line of said Section 14, 875 feet to the west right -
Of -WAY of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence north along the said west right-of-way 1170
feet; thence west 305.4 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 8, Block 60 Walnut Grove Addi-
tion., to the City of Salina, Kansas; thence north along the west line of said addition 1195
feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby included wit#in the corporate limits
of said city. That the owners of said tract did petition the governing body of said city
to incorporate the same within the limits of said city.
Section 2. That a certain tract of land in Section 14, Township 14,
Range 3 west,
of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning
at the point of intersection of the east right-of-way of Missouri Pacific Railroad and the

south line of Walnut Grove Addition, City of Salina, Kansas, extended east; thence west
along the south line of said addition 63.4 feet, thence south along west right-of-way of
Missouri Pacific Railroad MO feet; thence east 66 feet, more or less, to the east right-
of-way line of Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence north along said east right -Of 3.170
feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby incorporated within the limits of the
City of Salina so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious.

quarter section two hundred eighty-five (285) more or less, to the east right-of-way of
US 81 by-pass; thence north along east line of said right-of-way two thousand three hundred
sixty fife feet (23651) to north line of said Section
1.4, thence west two hundred eighty-five
feet (2851) to point of beginning, be and it is herebyincorporated rporated wit�tin the limits of the
City of Salina so that the boundary line of said city will be straight and harmonious.
Section 4. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are here-
by extended to include the territory added top taken into and made
parts of said city under
j the provisions of the preceding sections of this ordinance, and that all of the land lying
within the following described boundary be and the same is hereby declared to be within the

corporate limits of said city and made a part of said city* and that such corporate limits
be and the same are hereby defined, as follows:
Commencing at the point of intersection of the center of Ninth Street with
the center of Cloud Avenue, being the corner common to Section 23, 24, 25,
and 26, Township 14 south, e
Ran$ 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in
Saline County, Kansas; thence west along the south line of Section 23, 1661
feet; thence north to the northwest corner of Park View Addition to said city;
thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest
corner of said addition; thence north along the west lineof said addition to
its intersection with the easterly line of the right-of-way of the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Company; thence north along the east line of said railroad
right -of -away to the point of 3.170 feet south of the south line of Walnut
Grove Addition, thence west 1226 feet, thence north 2365 feet to a point on the
center line of Walnut Street 165 feet west of the west right -of -'way line of
US 81 by pass, thence west along the center line of Walnut Street to the
center line of Dry Creek, thence in a northerly direction down the center
of Dry Creek to the intersection of the center line of said creek with the
center line of the c
i hannel of the Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established,
being the first point of intersection of said lines lying north of Walnut
Street; thence north along the center line of the channel of said Dry Creek
cut-off channel as now established to its next intersection with the center
line of Dry Creek as originally existing; thence down the center line of the
channel of Dry Greek as originally existing to the point of intersection
of said line with the center line of the channel of Dry Creek cut-off channel
as now established, being the first point or intersection of said lines lying
north of the main line right-of-way of the Union Pacific Railroad and lying

Hill River to the point of intersection of the center line of said channel with
the center line of Front Streets extended north, such point being the northwest
corner of Lot One (1) in Garden Home Addition; thence southeasterly along the
center of the channel of the Smoky Hill River to the point of intersection of
the center line of said channel with the east lines extended north0 of the west
4.05 feet of Lot 15, in Garden Homes a subdivision in Saline Countys Kansas;
thence south along said east line to the intersection of said east line with
the center line of Crawford Street being a point 650 feet east of the north-
west corner of the northeast quarter (NE/4) of the northeast quarter of Section
24s Township 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence
south 1939.7 feet$ more or lesss to the north line of Martin Avenue; thence
east on the north line of Martin Avenue 674.68 feet to the center line of Ohio
Street, extended south; thence south 720 feet to the south line of Republic
Avenues thence west 674.88; thence south 291 feet to a point 17 feet east and
35 feet south of the southeast corner of Block 7 in Claflin Addition to the
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University; thence west 650 feet along the center
line of Beloit Avenue to its intersection with the center line of Roach Street;
thence south along the center line of Roach Street to its intersection with the
center line of Cloud Streets being the southeast corner of the addition to the
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University; thence w$st along said lines being the

Section5. That Section3 of Ordinance Number 5570 be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 6. That this ordinance shall be in full force from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city paper,
