5551 Angle Parking1 1 _ ORDINANCE NO. 5551 (Published n the Salina Journal (Vv X951) AN ORDINANCE amending and supplementing Section 214-11.411, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 19148, and providing for and regulating angle parking on parts of certain streets in said city and providing for the repeal of the original of said Section 214-141.1. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas.- Section ansas:Section 1. That Section 214-11411, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1918, be and is hereby amended to read as follows, to -wit: 11214-11471. ANGLE PARKING. On the following named streets, vehicles shall be parked with the right side of any such vehicle toward amd at an angle of 145 degrees with the right hand curb line of such street, and with the right front wheel of such vehicle against the curb or on the curb line of such street, and it shall be the duty of the City Manager and the Street Department to cause to be plainly marked upon the curb or along the curb line, by means of painted lines set at an angle of 45 degrees with the curb line, and (10) ten feet (6) inches distant from center to center of such lines at the curb line, indicating the spaces within which and the angle at which all vehicles shall be parked on such portions of such streets, and it shall be unlawful for any driver or owner of any ve- hicles to park or permit the same to be parked on any portion of any such street except within the space so indicated, and at the angle so indicated, the streets upon which such angle parking is to be required being as follows: Santa Fe Avenue between Pine Street and Mulberry Street. East side of Santa Fe ATpnue from Claflin Avenue to Kirwin Avenue. East side of Santa Fe Avsnue from Ellsworth Avenue to the alley north of Ellsworth Avenue. West side of Santa Fe Avenue from Mulberry Street to South Street. West side of Santa Fe Avenue from Jewell Avenue to Kirwin Street, Fifth Street between Ash Street and Walnut Street, Seventh Street between Elm Street and Walnut Street. East side of Eighth Street between Ash Street and Walnut Street. Iron Avenue between Fourth Street and Ninth Street. North side of Mulberry Street from Fifth Street to the alley west of Santa Fe Avenue. Cla.flin Avenue between Highland Avenue and Fourth Street. The south side of Bishop Street from between Eleventh Street and Thirteenth StreetY Provided, further, that wherever the curbs of any street have been set back and addi- tional width of paving provided, the City Manager may designate such spaces for angle parking and may cause the same to be marked for such purpose, in which event they shall be governed by the same regulations as streets specifically designated for such purpose. Where curbs have been cut for driveways, but such driveways are not being used for such purpose the space along the curb line in front of such driveways shall be used for park- ing. Section 2. REPEAL. That the original of Section 214-11411, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina.. Kansas, 19148, be and it is hereby repealed. Sect_ 3. EFFECTIVE. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
