AN ORDINANCE providing that vehicles shall stop before entering certain intersections
and providing for the amendment of Section 24-1006, Revised Ordinances of the
City of Salina, 1948, as amended by Ordinance No. 5546, and providing for the
repeal of said Section 24-1006 amended as aforesaid.
BE IT ORDAINED By the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That Section 24-1006 Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1948,
as amended by Ordinance No. 5546, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
1124-1006 ADDITIONAL STOPS. No vehicle shall enter any of the
following named streets from the streets hereinafter designated,
or any other intersection to the entrance to which a stop sign
may be erected by order of the Board of Commissioners, without
first being brought to a full and complete stop at the street
line of the street which is to be entered, and shall not pro-
ceed until danger of colliding with vehicles lawfully proceed-
ing along any such street or approaching or going through any
such intersection has passed, to wit: Ash Street, from Columbia
Avenue (south side only), from Penn avenue, and from Third Street;
Mulberry Street, from Fifth Street (north side only) Walnut Street
from Seventh Street and Eighth Street; College Avenue from South
Street (east side only), Claflin Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue or
from the Santa Fe Avenue exit from the campus of Kansas Wesleyan
University; Santa Fe Avenue from Claflinw%venue."
Section 2, That Section 24-1006, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina, 1948,
as amended by Ordinance No. 5546, be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its
adoption and publication once in the official city paper.
