AN 0R1DI-MANCE authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of
the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $44,2o6.20 to pay the cost of
improving, certain streets in said city to be designated as Series number
P-151.
i -j .HEP",.BAS, pursuant to proceedin-s duly had ac(:ording to law, contracts have been let
and performed for the construction of the following street improvements in the City
of Salina, Kansas, to -wit:
Curbing, ;_uttering and grading of Lincoln Avenue
from the east line of Rell?nolds Street to the east
line of Broadway Boulevard, as provided by Resolu-
tion Number 1137 and Ordinance Number 5429.
Curbing, guttering and grading of 'Wood Avenue from
the center line of Cra-wford Avenue to the center
line of Bond Street, as provided by Resolution
Number 1140 and Ordinance Number 5429.
Curbing, guttering and grading of Front Street from
the north line of Republic Avenue to the center line
of Crxidford Avenue, as provided by Resolution Number
1118 and Ordinance Number 5416.
Curbing, guttering and grading of the west side of
Roach Street From the north line of Claflin Avenue
to the south line of Kirvrin Avenue, as provided by
Resolution Number 1130 and Ordinance Number 5416.
Curbing, guttering and grading on Third Stroet from
the south line of Prescott Avenue to the center line
of Crawford Avenue, as provided by Resolution Plumber
1119 and Ordinance Number 5416.
Curbing,, gutterin# and grading on Venango Street from
the east line of Hancock Street to the west line of
Merrill Street, as provided by Resolution Number 1125
and Ordinance Number 5416.
Curbing•, guttering and grading of Thirteenth Street
from the south line of Grand Avenue to the center
line of Broadway Boulevard, as provided by Resolution
Number 1116 and Ordinance Number 5416.
Curbing, �_utterinr7 and grading of Fifth Street from
the north line of Antrim Avenue to the center line of
Otis Avenue, as provided by Resolution Number 1091
and Ordinance Number %391.

Eleventh Street, as provided by Resolution Number
1089 and Ordinance number 5391.

ana grading of Illinois Street from the vrest line of
Merrill Street to the east line of Hancock Street,
as provided by Resolution Number 1088 and Ordinance

MEEREAS, the total cost of said improvements has been ascertained and the Portion
form and shall contain recitals substantiallIT as follows:
thereof in the amount of 624,865.97 to be paid by the general taxes to be levied
upon all taxable property iitilin ,-aid cit:T for the improvement of squares and areas
formed by the crossing of streets and alleys and for the imp ovement of any of said

are to be paid by special assessments are to be levied upon lots and pieces of c7round
liable for the payment of said curbing, -Uttering, and grading in said streets has
been ascertained and has been found and determined to be the stun of $24,033.19, ,,Thich
amount has been heretofore dul-r assessed and apportioned to the several lots and
feces of ground liable therefore according to law provided for in the ordinance of
the City of Salina, Kansas, relating; thereto, duly passed and approved, of. -which amount
the sum of $b.692.96 has been duly paid by the property oti,ners Liable therefore, leaving

NEREAS, bonds in the ag recate sum of .44,206.20 are to be issued to pay the actual
net cost thereof;
BE IT ORDAI.EED by the Board. of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Sect -Lon 1. That the foregoing preambles be and they are :hereby authorized as a
part of this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost
of the improvements herein above referred to and described in the Ordinances and
Resolutions hereinbefore referred to, there whall be issued Internal Improvement

the interest thereon, .-:hich coupons shall be in the form provided by law and shall
bear the printed or lithographed facsimile si;;nature of the Pis.; or and City Clerk
of said city and said bonds and interest coupons shall be registered in the office
of the City Clerk and in the office of the Aduitor of State, as required by las;.
Section 3. Said bonds shall be designated as Series P-151 and shall be in the

State of Kansas, acimowledges itself to be indebted and for val»e received here-
by promises to pay to the bearer the sum of DOLLARS

This bond is one of a series of 44 bonds or like date and tenor, excepting
denomination and maturity, aggregating the principal sum of 44,206.20, issued by
the City of Salina, Kansas, for the purpose of paying the cost of constructing
certain curbing;, �__utteri.ng and <�rading improvements in said city by the authority
of and in full compliance lith the provisions, restrictions and l".r:__tations o--." the
constitution and laves of the State of Kansas, including Sections 10-101 to 10-126,
12-601 to 12-605 and 13-1011 and 13-1011a, all in the general Statutes of Kansas,
1935, and amendments thereto, and all otter provisions of the laws o-" said state
applicable thereto, aid gets bond and all other bonds of tnis series, and all in-
terest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions, and thin`'s
required to be done and to c:..ist precedent to and in the i.-suance of this bond Have
been properly done and performed and do e-.ist in due -_end resrul_,r Form and manner as
required by the constitution and laws of the State of r.ansas, and that the total in-
debtedness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not exceed any con-
stitutional or statutory limitation.
