AN ORDi;:,'ANCE providing for and authorizing the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the
City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of 549,922.43, to pay the cost of construct-
ing main sanitary sewers and certain lateral sanitary servers and a pumping
;
station in the City of Salina, Kansas, -,Mich bonds shall be designated as
Series S-150.
i'wlItAS, pursuant to proceedings duly had according to law, certain main and certain
lateral sanitar„r sewers and a pumpinT station have been constructed in the City of
Salina, Kansas, in main seer districts and certain lateral sanitary seti^:er districts,
as follows:

Main Sanitary Sewer District "X" as provided for and autiior_ized by
Ordinance Ido. 5403.
Lateral Sa_-dtary Sewer Districts 216 and 217, as provided for and

Lateral Sanitary Sewer District 240 as provided for and authorized

VMEREAS, the total cost of said se:,ers constructed in and as the se -.%r districts
a':;ove mentioned and to be paid by "pecial assessments levied upon lots and pieces
of ground liable for the payment of said se-: ers in the sewer dist_^icts ahove men-
tioned has been ascertained and is hereby found and determined to be the sum of
$50,944.36, <hich amount has been heretofore duly assessed and apport.oned to the
several lots and nieces of ground liable therefor according to lair and as provided
for in the ordinances of the City of Salina relating thereto, of tirhich anount the
sum of ';2906.47 has been paid by the o-�vners of the property liable therefor, leaving
a balance for which bonds gill be issued in the sum of $48,037.89.
VIETHZAS, the total cost of the said Pumpin:7 Station and installation has been as-
certained and the portion t Hereof in the amouht of $1884.54 to be paid by general
taxes to be levied upon all taxable property vdthin said city; and for which bonds
are to be issued; and
,UEREAS, bonds i.-7 the aggregate sum of y49,922.43 are to be issued to pay the actual

BE IT O:i?DAIn?ED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Saline., Kansas:
Section 1. That the foregoing preambles are hereby adolpted end made a part of
this ordinance and that for the purpose of providing funds to pay the cost of the
improvements hereinbefore described, there shall bu issued and there hereby are issued
Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the total principal sum
of 4P'49,922.43, rdiich issue shall consist of 49 bonds numbered from 1 to 49, inclusive,
all dated December 1, 1950, which shall bear interest at the rate of
per cent per annum from and after said date until the respective matutities of said
bonds, payable Au;ust 1, 1951, and thereafter semi-annually on Februars,,r, lst and
Au u.st 1st of each year to be evidenced by interest coupons as herein provided for

Section 2. Said bonds shall be signed by the T.'or and shall be attested by
the signature of the City Clerk and the corporate of the City shall be affxied
thereto, and shall have attached thereto interest coupons representing the interest
thereon, vihich coupons shall be in the form provided by lam, and shall bear the
printed or lithographed facsimile signatures of the Fria-or and City Clerk of said
city and said bonds and interest coupons shall be registered in tine offices of the
City Clerk and the State Auditor as required by law.
Section 3. Said bonds shall be desicTnated as Series S-150 and sh.a_l.l be in the

This bond is one of a s: -,ries of bonds of like date and tenor, excepting

said city by the authority of and in full compliance i-,ith the 'rovisions, re-
strictions and. limitations of the constitution and laws of the State of Kansas,
including Sections 10-101 to 10-126, Sections 12-617 to 12-620, Sections 12-626
to 12-629, and Sections 13-1013 to 13-1013, all in the Czeneral Statutes of Kansas
1935, and amendments thereto, and all other_ provisions of the laws of said state
applicable thereto, and this bond and all other bonds of this series, and all
interest thereon are to be paid by the City of Salina, Kansas.
And it is hereby declared and certified that all acts, conditions and things
required to be done and to e,.ist precedent to and in the issuance of this bond
have been properly done anal preformed and do e_,;ist in due and re; ular form and
manner as recuired bar the constitution and laws of t:_ie State of Kansas, and that
the total indebtedness of said city, including this series of bonds, does not
exceed any constitutional or statutory lird-Ltions.
