Taylor Cor: Astruction Ca ipany, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor" as submitted to the Board of Coln, '.ss i_oners October 2, 1950, r;h ch is her by f ound to be the loi^lest and best bid for such ork, and the contract ai�arded by the Board of Commissioners of said City to said contractor and signed on behalf of the city by its 111a7Tor on October 9, 1950, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansa to wi.t : Beginning at an existing manhole at the intersection of 1.,inneapolis Avenue and Quincy Street, thence east :in Irli.nneapolis Avenue a distance of 535 feet to a manhole to be constructed at the intersection of Minneapolis Avenue and Norton Street, thence south in Norton Street a distance of 650 feet to a manhole to be constructed at the intersection of Norton Street and Jewell Avenue, being the terminus of storm seiner, at and for the unit price .for said �;,ork contained in said proposal, z,,,hich proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made karts of this ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the esti:iated cost of said improvements as shown by" the s -worn estimate of the Cit7r Engineer on -1-ile in the office of the City Clerk, which estimates are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be bu`-1t and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City En?ineer on file in the office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of _.aid contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of 1 -,hick are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the -1ayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the 77anner and form as rerl;ired by laver, the total amount thereof not to exceed the conti-act price for such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 42 per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1951, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as money for the payment of the cost of such �. ork may be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof.
