5681 Food Handlers Medical ExaminationsJ ORDIl"P_IxE ISO, 5681 'ublished in the Salina Journal 1952) AIT ORLT ANCE providing for the medical examination and tests of any employee or person in any manner connected with or engaged in handling food, drink, or handling utensils or equipment used in the preparation, serving or storage of food or drink. BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Corunissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas. I Section 1, 11-111A, Hedical Examinations and Tests Required of handlers of Food, �I Equipment and Utensils, Every employee or person in any manner connected with or engaged in the handling of food or drink, or handling utensils or equipment used in the prepara- tion, serving or storage of food or drink in any restaurant, grocery store,meat market, bakery, bottling works or other establishment ti•ahere food or drink is produced, sold, prepared or served, shall have an annual chest examination by means of �x-ray and an interpretation thereof of a competent medical doctor as an aid in the discovery of a ctive pulmonary tuberculosis. Said x-ray and interpretation shall be taken and effected when the mobile x-ray unit of the State Department of Health is available for use. Section 2. That all such persons and e,-iployees shall carry a copy of such inter- pretation on their person, and shall exhibit the some unto the Health Officer of the City of Salina, on request thereof, Section 3, That this ordinance shall be deemed to supplerlent the provisions of Article 1 of Chapter 11 of the Re.ised Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1946. Section 4, That any person who shall .fail to cause said x-ray to be taken and to obtain an interpretation thereof, as aforesaid, or fail to carry said report, as aforesaid, shalt be deemed to violate the provisions of this ordinance and shall be fined not less than w10.00 or more than $100.00 or be imprisonment in the city jail for not to exceed 130 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
