All ORDI-ANCE providing and establishing the rates to be charged consumers of crater
sold by the Water Works Department of the City of Salina and amending Section 1
of Ordinance No. 5501 and providing for the repeal of said Section 1.

for the purpose of paying a part of the cost of extending, enlarging and improving e
plant and s -,, stem of the :Municipal .eater works in said city; and
^T1E &S, said bonds will be paid in five (5) approxi�rately equal installments and e
li interest thereon will be paid semi-annually; and
�T:1ljUS, in consideration of persons, fiInLs, corporations and partnership purchasing said
bonds it is considered necessary to provide for an increase in ,rater rates so as to pro-
f vide funds to pay the principal of said bonds and the interest to accrue thereon; and
i,q-i 'r_AS, in consideration of said purchase the city deems it necessary and adviseable to
agree, and does hereby agree, not to reduce said rates until said principal and interest
is fully paid; and,

Section 2. That the City of Salina hereby agrees, in consideration of persons, firms,
corporations and partnerships, buying Revenue Bonds to be issued to extend, enlarge and
improve the water works plant and system not to decrease the rates, prescribed, a.s afore-
said, until all such bonds and interest thereon are fully paid.
Section 3. That Secti;_n 1 of Ordinance No. 5501, be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 4, Take Effect. This ordinance to take effect and be in force from and after
its passage and publication once in the official city paper.
