Taylor Construction Company for the construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sesser in the City of ! Salina, Kansas, heretofore designated as Lateral Sanitary Seeder District Number i 284, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof, pending issuance and sale of bonds. iBE IT ORD_ -LINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That the acceptance of the City of Salina, Kansas of the proposal i I of H. J. Taylor Construction Company, hereinafter referred to as the "contractor" as submitted to the Board of Conni.ssioners on July ?, 1952, which is hereby found I to be the lowest and best bid for such work, and the contract awarded by the Board � I of Commissioners of said city to said contractor and signed on behalf of theCity j by its Mayor on July 14, 1952, for the construction of certain public improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas, to-yri.t: I An 8 inch clay pipe sewer beginning at an existing manhole in the center of Sunrise Drive and 165 feet north of the north line of Republic; thence northeasterly 31 feet to the canter line of easement; thence east 203 feet, thence southeasterly 150 feet; thence southeasterly 50 feet where a clean- out will be constructed which will be the terminus of Lateral Number 284. i I at and for the unit price for said work contained in said proposal, which proposal and contract are hereby referred to and made parts of this ordinance, be and the II same is hereby ratified and confirmed, said proposal being within the estimated cost of said improvements as shown by the sworn estimate of the City Engineer on file in the office of the City Clerk, which estimate is hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 2. Said improvements shall be built and constructed in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore prepared by the City Engineer on file in the I office of the City Clerk and in accordance with the proposal of said contractor and under the terms of said contract, all of which are hereby referred to and made a part of this ordinance. Section 3. That temporary notes signed by the Mayor and attested by the City Clerk be issued from time to time as the work progresses in the manner and form as required by law, the total amount thereof not to exceed the contract price for such work, such notes to bear interest at not to exceed 4- per cent per annum and to mature not later than December 1, 1953, and to be issued in such amounts and at such times as may the money for the payment of the cost of such work be required, such notes to be issued to said contractor and to be redeemed and cancelled at the time that Internal Improvement Bonds are issued in lieu thereof. Section 4. That this ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its publication once in the official city paper.
