AN ORDINANCE providing for the amendment of Section 26-101, Revised Ordinances
Of the City of Salina, 1948, and providing for the repeal of the ori

BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:

Section 1, That Section 26-101, Revised Ordinances of the City of Salina,
Kansas, be and it is hereby amended to read as follows:
"26-101. TREES; TRIPtMITG REWIRED. That the oimers,
occupants or persons in charge of real estate in the
City of Salina abutting upon any public streets and
avenues in said city be and they are hereby required
to cause all trees growing and situated in front of
j such real estate, but irrithin the boundary line of the
streets or av,�nues and within the curb line thereof,
and all trees or branches or limbs thereof grmTing
or situated on any such real estate, Mich overhang
any such street or avenue, to be properly trimmed
in such a manner as not to interfere with public
travel upon the streets and sidewalks
abutting upon a such in front or
I any property, and such trimming
shall be done in a proper and scientific manner by
a person familiar with the proper manner ofdoing
such work, so as not to injure or destroy such trees.
Any trees or limbs, projecting beyond the back of
the curb line, or the usual location thereof, at a
Point less than 12 feet, above the street level,
are hereby declared to be hazardous and 'to inter-
fere with the use of said streets and avenues. Any
trees or limbs, projecting over any sidewalk or
j usually travelled pedestrian way, at a point less
than 8 feet above the level of any thereof, are
hereby
declared to be hazardous and to interfere
with the use of sidewalks and usually travelled
pedestrian way."

Section 2. That the original of said Section 26-101, aforesaid, be and
it is hereby repealed.
Section 3. That this ordinance shall be in Hill force and effect from
and after its adoption and publi.caticn once in the official city paper.
