AN ORDI1T.AYCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits
of the City of Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of said city and repealing;
Section 6 of Ordinaazce Number 5659.

j of Salina, Kansas, have carne to pass, AED IT01J,

BE IT ORDAIEED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas:
j Section 1. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate It its of

the City of Salina, Kansas, in Section 24, in Township 14 south, Range 3 rest
of the Sixth Principal Iueridian, in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows:
Beginning at a point which is 1326.0 feet vest and 700.0 feet north of the south-
east corner of Secticn 24, Tovmship 14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal
Meridian; thence north 326.0 feet; thence east 1326.0 feet; thence south 326.0
feet; thence west 1326.0 feet to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby
included within the corporate limits of said city, the owner of said tract having
petitioned for the inclusion thereof.
Section 2. That certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of
the City of Salina, Kansas, in Section 24 and in Section 19, all in Township
14 south, Range 3 west of the Sixth 11rincipal ueridian in Saline County, Kansas,
described as follovis: Beginning at a point vtnich is 1326.0 feet wrest and
1026.0 feet north of the southeast corner of Lection 24, Township 14 south, Range

3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian; thence north 326.,0 feet; thence east
1326.0 feet; thence north 617.0 feet; thence east 250.0 feet; thence south 1269.0
feet; thence west 250.0 feet; thence north 326.0 feet; thence wrest 1326.0 feet
to the place of beginning, be and it is hereby included vizthin the corporate
limits of the said city, said tract containing less than 20 acres and more than

two-thirds (2/3) of the north, south and west boundaries adjoining the boundary

line of said city.
Section 3. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the
same are hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into Ond

made parts of said city under the provisions of the proceding sections of this
ordinance, and that all of the land lying within the follawing described boundary

j be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of said city
and made a part of said city, and that such corporate limits be and the sane
are hereby defined, as follovrs
Canmencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street
extended south, 770 feet south of the intersection of the
center line of Ninth Street vrith the center line of Cloud
Avenue, said intersection being the corner eormon to Section
23, 24, 25, and 26, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the
Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, thence
west 920 feet, thence north 770 feet to a point on the cen-
ter line of Cloud Avenue, thence west along the center line
of Cloud Avenue 741 feet, thence north to the northwest corner
of Park View Addition to said city; thence west along the
south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner
of said Addition; thence north to the center line of Jewell
Avenue, thence west 2700 feet to the wrest line of Seati- ai 23,
Tovmship 14, south, Renge 3 west of the Sixth Principal
Meridian, thence north 4,544.3 feet to a point on the west
line of Section 14, Township 14 south, Range 3 wrest of the Sixth
Principal Meridiz=m, 620 feet north of the southwest corner of said
Section 14; thence east 1417 feet to a point 165 feet west of the
west right-of-way of U. S. 81 by-pass; thence north parallel to
the ,"est right-of-imy line of US 81 by-pass to a point on the
center line of lvalnut Street 165 feet west of the hest right-of-
way, line of US 81 by-pass; thence west along the center line of
Walnut Street to the center line of Dry Creek, thence in a north-
erly diroction down the center of Dry Creek to the intersection
of the center line of said creek with the center line of the
channel of the Dry Creek cut-off channel as now established, being
the first point of intersection of said lines lying north of T lout
Street, thence north along the center line of the channel of said
Dry Creek cut-off- channel as now established to its next inter-
section vith the center line of Dry Creek as originally existing;
thence down the center line of the channel of Dry- Creek as origi-

line with the center line of the channel of Dry Creek cut-off
channel as now established, being the first point or intersection
of said lines lying north of the main line right-of—way of the

intersection of said line with the center line of Dry Creek; thence
down the center line of Dry Creek as originally existing to its

Avenue to the intersection of said line of Pacific to the inter-

Lots 7 and 9 in said Block 32, being the vresterly boundary of

Street to the southwesterly line of the abandoned railroad right-
of-way running through said hilitary Addition; thence east to a
point in said abandoned right-of-way due south of the intersection
of the northeasterly line of said right-of—ay- with the south line

Section 4. That Section 6 of Ordinance Number 5659 be and it is hereby repealed.
Section 5. That this ordinance shall be in full force from and after its adoption
and publication once in the official city paper.
