5655 Annexation1 u 1 -- - - - ORDINANCE NUMBER (Published in the Salina Journal Mrw_ AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corp- orate limits of the City of Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of of said city and repealing Section 7 of Ordinance Number 5631• SEAS, all conditions precedent to the inclusions of certain land in the i City of Salina have come to pass, and now I BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas: Section 1. That certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina in Section 23, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, in Saline County, Kansas,, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of said section and a line 165 feet west and parallel to the west right -of -sway line of said by-pass; thence south parallel to said right -of -sway line 2659.4 feet to the quarter section line; thence west along said quarter section line 1417.9 feet to the west line of said section; thence north along said section line 2644.3 to northwest corner of said section; thence east along north section line 1426. - feet, more or less, to the point of beginning, be and it is hereby included within the limits of the City of Salina, the owners having petitioned there- fore. Section 2. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate i limits of the City of Salina, in Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as followsx Beginning at the intersection of the south line of said Section and a line 165 feet west and parallel to US 81 By -Pass; thence west 1426 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner of said Section; thence north along the west line of said section 620 feet, thence east and parallel to i the south line of said Section 1417.0 feet to the point 165 feet, gest of the west right -of --way line of US 81 By-pass; thence south along a line 165 feet west and parallel to the west right-of-way line of said by-pass 520 feet to the peace of beginning, be and it is hereby incorporate within the limits of the City ce Salim , the owner having petitioned therefore. Section 3. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits i of the City of Salina, in Section 22, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: beginning at the northeast corner of said section thence south along the east line of said Section 2644.3 feet to one-quarter line of said section; thence west on said quarter line 993.3 feet, thence north and parallel to the east line of said Section 2640.0 feet; thence east along north line of said Section 993.3 feet, more or less to the lace of s p beginning, be and it is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, the owners having petitioned therefore. Section 4. That a certain tract of land adjoining, the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas in Section 23, Township 14, Range 3 west of 'J C0T^_'_1 I.�I III - \L, �..� The sixth principal meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the southwest quarter of said Section and the west right-of-way line of said by-pass; thence southeasterly along said west line of by-pass 1490 feet, more or less, to jthe center line of Jewell Avenue, City of Salina extended west; thence west i along extended center line of Jewell Aven#e 2300 feet, more or less, to the west line of said Section; thence north along the west line of said Section 1280 feet to the one-quarter corner of said Section; thence east along the north line of said Section 1642.9 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning be and it is hereby incorporated within the limits of the City of Salina, the owners having petitioned therefore. I Section 5. That a certain tract of land adjoining the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas in Section 23, Township 14, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principol Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, described as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the Southwest Quarter j of said Section and the west right -of -sway line of said by-pass; thence i east 1040vS feet, more or less, to the last right -of -sway line of the Missouri Pacific Railroad; thence south along said railroad right-of-way 1280 feet; thence west 400.00 feet, more or less, to the west right -of -sway of said by- pass; thence northwesterly along west right-of-way line of said by-pass 1,490 feet, more or less, to the place of beginning, be and it is hereby incopporated within the corporate limits of said city. that more than two thirds of the north and east boundaries of said tract touch the boundary l line of said City. i Section 6. That the corporate limits of the City of Salina be and the same are hereby extended to include the territory added to, taken into i and made parts of said city under the provisions of the preceding sections j of this ordinance, and that all of the land lying within the following described boundary be and the same is hereby declared to be within the corporate limits of said city and made a part of said city, and that such j corporate limits be and the same are hereby defined, as follows: Commencing at a point on the center line of Ninth Street extended south, 770 feet south of the intersection of the center line of Ninth Street with the center line of Cloud Avenue, said intersectionbeing the corner common to Section 23, 24, 25 and 26, Township 14 South, Range 3, west of the Sixth Principal Meridian in Saline County, Kansas, thence west 920 feet, thence north 770 feet to a point on the center line of Cloud Avenue, thence west along the center line of Cloud Avenue, 741 feet, thence north to the northwest corner of Park View Addition to said City; thence west along the south line of Highland Court Addition to the southwest corner of said addition; thence north to the center line of Jewell Avenue, thence west 2700 feet to the west line of Section 23, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, thence north 4544.3 feet to a point on the west line of Section 14, Township 14 South, Range 3 west of the Sixth Principal Meridian, 620 feet north of the southwest corner of said Section 14;. thence east 1417 feet to a point 169 feet CO JSOI I')ATE E' ALINA [i J 1 gest of the West right-of-way line of US 81 By-pass;
